Holy Qor-aan 002:022
.
يٰۤـاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعۡبُدُوۡا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُوۡنَ ۙ
Yaa-auy-yo-hun-naa-sou-bo-doo-rub-ba-ko-mool-la-zee Kha-la-qa-koom-wul-la-zee-na-min-qub-lay-koom-la-ul-la-koom-tut-ta-qoo-n.
Listen, People! Worship your God, the Provident, Who Created you and those before you so that you become pious.
The Holy Qor-aan has used the Phrase Yaa-auy-yo-hun-naa-so … in many places
- يٰۤ — Yaa — Listen (= Be attentive; pay attention; O!)
- اَيُّهَا — Auy-yo-h…(un) — All (= All, entire or whole of the addressees or audience)
- النَّاسُ — Naa-so…(u) –People (= Folks; mankind; nation)
- اعۡبُدُوۡا — Bo-doo – You worship (= Beseech; live in given lifestyle; pray sincerely; serve)
- رَبَّ — Rub-ba — God Provident (= The Almighty Allah who provides all things for all people;Creator; Lord; Guardian; Master; Provider; The One who Sustains all His creatures)
- کُمُ — Ko-mo…(ol) — Your (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You men. Generally this way the Holy Qor-aan addresses both men and women
- الَّذِىۡ — La-zee — He who (= s., m., in 3rd person. Here the ref is to God Almighty)
- خَلَقَك — Kha-la-qua — Created (= Brought into being; designed; fashioned)
- کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You men. Generally this way the Holy Qor-aan addresses both men and women
- وَ — Wa .. (ul) — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- الَّذِيۡنَ –La-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m., in 3rd person. People gone by)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of a class, category, count, kind, or several persons or things)
- قَبۡلِ — Qub-lay– Before (= Before time; antecedent; earlier than; older times; occurred or passed in prior period; prior to)
- کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You men. Generally this way the Holy Qor-aan addresses both men and women
- لَعَلَّ — La-ul-la — So that (= Haply; hopefully; wishing the result to be)
- کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You men. Generally this way the Holy Qor-aan addresses both men and women
- تَتَّقُوۡنَ — Tut-ta-qoo-n — Become pious (= v., ‘avoid angering Allah’, act piously and righteously, become God-fearing and righteous, clean inner self’, guard against or ward off evil’. See 002:003)
