The Holy Qor-an 002:036
وَقُلۡنَا يٰٓـاٰدَمُ اسۡكُنۡ اَنۡتَ وَزَوۡجُكَ الۡجَـنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنۡهَا رَغدًا حَيۡثُ شِئۡتُمَا وَلَا تَقۡرَبَا هٰذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُوۡنَا مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ
Wa-qool-naa–yaa-aa-da-mo Os-koon-un-ta-wa-zao-jo-kul-jun-na-ta Wa-ko-laa-min-haa-ra-gha-dun-hai-tho-shae-to-maa Wa-laa-tuq-ra-baa-haa-zay-hish-sha-ja-ra-ta Fa-ta-koo-naa-me-nuz-zaa-lay-mee-n.
And We said, “Listen, Adam, You and your wife live in the paradise. And you both eat from there in plenty wherever you both like. And you both do not come close to this tree Because then you both would become among the wrongdoers.
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- قُل — Qool — Said (= v., past., s, 1st person: Announced; broadcast; stated; conveyed; commanded; declared; directed; informed; instructed; mandated; ordered. specified; stated; told)
- نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
- يٰۤ — Yaa — Listen (= Be attentive; pay attention; O!)
- ادَمُ — Aa-da-mo..(os) — Adam (= Adam; the name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah. This occurrence is repeated in 020:118)
- اسۡكُنۡ — Os-koon — You live (= Abide; become citizen of; dwell; reside; stay)
- اَنۡتَ — Un-ta — You (= pro., s., m., addressee in 2nd person is Adam)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- زَوۡجُ — Zao-jo — Wife (= Mate; life-companion; spouse)
- كَ — Ka…(ul) — You (=pro., s., m., addressee in 2nd person is Adam)
- الۡجَـنَّةَ — Jun-naa-ta — The Paradise (= n., pl., Big groves; gardens; orchards)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- كُلَا — Ko-laa — You both eat (= You two consume, feast upon or partake)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of a class, category, count or kind, or several persons or things)
- هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person. Reference is to the Paradise)
- رَغَدًا — Ra-gha-dun — In plenty (= As much as; abundantly; bountifully; freely; plentifully plenteously; to hearts’ content)
- حَيۡثُ — Hai-tho — Wherever (= Anywhere)
- شِئۡتُمَا — Shae-to-maa — You both like (= You two choose, please, prefer, select, will, wish or feel pleasure and delight)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- لَا — Laa — Do not (= Absolute denial; never; not at all; total negation)
- تَقۡرَبَا — Tuq-ra-baa — Come close to (= You two approach, come in close proximity, get near or get in the vicinity of)
- هٰذِهِ — Ha-zay-h…(ish) — This (= This particularly pointed out; present right here; what is in front of you)
- الشَّجَرَةَ — Sha-ja-ra-ta — Tree (= Vegetation with roots below and trunk above the surface of earth. Growth. Ref is also to some particular group, nation, people, tribe or situation in Adam/Eve story. The tree of evil)
- فَ — Fa — So (= Consequently; as a result; then; thereafter; therefore; yet)
- تَكُوۡنَا — Ta-koo-naa — Both become (= You two would have become; lest you become or turn into; happening or occurring since before)
- مِنَ — Me…(nuz) — Among (= Among, from or out of a class, category, count or kind. Among, from or out of several persons or things)
- الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ — Zaa-lay-mee-n — Wrongdoers (= n., pl., Doers of spiritual harm, hurt an injury; criminals; culprits; evil-doers; transgressors; unjust; violators; wicked)
