The Holy Qor-aan 002:053
ثُمَّ عَفَوۡنَا عَنۡكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ
Thoom-ma-afao-naa-un-koom-min-bau-day-zaa-lay-ka-la-ul-la-koom-tush-ko-roo-n.
Then We forgave you after all that so that you may be grateful.
- ثُمَّ — Thoom-ma — Then (= After that; subsequently; thereafter)
- عَفَوۡ — Afao — Forgave (= Excused; pardoned; looked the other way; overlooked)
- نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it reflects the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
- عَن — Un — About (= Concerning; regarding; relative to)
- کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person.You. Ref is to youبَنِىۡٓ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ )
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of a class, category, count or kind. Among, from or out of several persons or things)
- بَعۡدَ — Bau-day — After (= Behind; later; subsequently)
- ذٰلِكَ — Zaa-lay-ka — All that (= Here; refers to an aforesaid fact, person or statement; this. This was because; right in here is; such is; that is how it is)
- لَعَلَّ — La-ul-la — So that (= Gave chance; haply; hopefully; possibly; wishing a result to be)
- کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. Ref is to youبَنِىۡٓ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ )
- تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ — Tush-ko-roo-n — Be grateful (= Appreciate;; give thanks; thank)
