The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                           002:057

ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنٰكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَوۡتِكُمۡ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ‏

                 Thoom-ma-ba-uth-naa-koom-min-bau-day-mao-tay-koom-la-ul-la-koom-tush-ko-roo-n.

        Then We raised you  after your stupor so that you be grateful.

  • ثُمَّ — Thoom-ma — Then (= After that; subsequently; thereafter)
  • بَعَث — Ba-uth — Raised  (= Appointed; brought back to life; brought back to the land of living; reincarnated; resurrected; revived; set up)
  • نَآ — Naa — We  (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it reflects the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
  • کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. Refers to the Israelites)
  • مِّنَ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of a class, category, count or kind. Among, from or out of several persons or things)
  • بَعۡدِ — Bau-day — After (= After departure; behind; in absence; later; subsequently
  • مَوۡتِ — Mao-tay —  Stupor (= After life has ended; death; downfall; extinction; near-death experience. Also, a coma)
  • کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. Refers to the Israelites)
  • لَعَلَّ — La-ul-la — So that (= Haply; hopefully; wishing the result to be)
  • کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. Refers to the Israelites)
  • تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ — Tush-ko-roon — Be grateful (= pl., Appreciate; thank.  See Commentary titled  “2 pronouns or 1 pro and 1 verb mean
