The Holy Qor-aan 002:071
قَالُوا ادۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنۡ لَّنَا مَا هِىَۙ اِنَّ الۡبَقَرَ تَشٰبَهَ عَلَيۡنَا ؕ وَاِنَّـآ اِنۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَمُهۡتَدُوۡنَ
Qaa-lood-ola-naa-rub-ba-ka-yo-buy-yun-la-naa-maa-hay-ya–in-nul-ba-qa-ra-ta-shaa-ba-ha-alai-naa–wa-in-naa-in-shaa-ul-la-ho-la-moh-ta-doo-n.
They said, “Call for us your God to explain for us what she is. The cows certainly look alike to us. And we certainly will if Allah willed (= God-willing) be guided.”
- قَا لُوۡا — Qaa-lo..(od) — They said (= v., past, pl., m., 3rd person: All those men. Announced; called; demanded; exclaimed; inquired; insisted; told; objected; questioned; specified; stated; submitted)
- ادۡعُ — Ood-o — Call (= Ask; beg; beseech; call upon; claim; demand; get; invite; invoke; obtain; pray; request; seek)
- لَ — La — For (= For the benefit, purpose or reason; with the object of)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl. m & f., 1st person. Us all)
- رَبَّ — Rub-ba — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures;
Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist) - كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. Addressee is Moses)
- يُبَيِّنۡ — Yo-buy-yun — Explain (= Clarify; make crystal clear, plain and obvious; make it known to. Also, elaborate; espouse; expound)
- لَّ — La — For (= For the benefit, purpose or reason; with the object of)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl. m & f., 1st person. Us all)
- مَاۤ — Maa — What (= All that; whatever; whatsoever; when; whenever)
- هِىَ — Hay-ya — She / It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person. Refers to the cow)
- اِنَّ — Inn…(ul) — Certainly (= Absolutely; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily)
- الۡبَقَرَ — Ba-qa-ra — Cows (= Mature females of cattle; heifers)
- تَشٰبَهَ — Ta-shaa-ba-ha — Look alike (= Resembling; ambiguous; confusing; overlapping; not clear; appearing similar to others; need interpretation)
- عَلَيۡ — Alai — To / On (= Above; against; for; on top of; over; upon)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl. m & f., 1st person. Us all)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- اِنَّـآ — In-naa — Surely us (= Combines two words. اِنَّ means ‘certainly, definitely, surely or verily. And نَآ means ‘all of us’)
- اِنۡ — In — If (= In case; under the circumstances; when situation arises)
- شَآءَ — Shaa-a(l) — He willed (= Chose; decided; decreed; liked; pleased; preferred; wanted; wished)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- لَ — La — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; positively; truly; verily)
- مُهۡتَدُوۡنَ — Moh-ta-doo-n — Guided (= Directed, guided, led, put or set on the correct course, proper path, right road, or good ways. Also led aright; put on proper path; set on correct course; set straight; guided towards the best course, line, path, road or way)
