The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                        002:096

 

وَ لَنۡ يَّتَمَنَّوۡهُ اَبَدًاۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِالظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‏

 

Wa-lun-ya-ta-mun-nao-ho-aa-ba-dun                                                                                        Bay-maa-qud-da-mut-aiy-dee-him                                                                                              Wul-laa-ho-alee-moon-biz-zaa-lay-mee-n.

 

And they will not ever seek that death                                                                                Because of what their hands have forwarded.                                                                  And Allah knows the wrong-doers very well.

 

The verses 002:096 and 062:008 are repeats except some differences in 2nd & 3rd words

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • لَن — Lun…(ya) — Not (= Absolute denial; never; no; not at all; total negation. Instead of this word, the verse 062:008 has used the word لَا  (=laa) meaning the same)
  • يَّتَمَنَّو — Ya-ta-mun-nao — Seek (= Ask; crave; desire; invoke; long for; want; wish.  Instead of this word, the verse 062:008 has used the word يَتَمَنَّوۡنَ (= ya-ta-mun-nao-na) meaning the same)
  • هُ — Ho — That (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to ‘the death’ — narrowed down to meaning ONLY their ‘own death)
  • اَبَدًا — Aa-ba-dun(b) — Ever (= Abide; forever; live a long time)
  • بِمَا — Bay-maa — Because of (= Combination of two words. بِ means ‘with / in’ and مَاۤ means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever.’ The combination بِمَا (bay-maa) means ‘due to’; on account of; for the reason; due to; with / in all that)
  • قَدَّمَتۡ — Qud-da-mut — Forwarded (= Done for themselves; sent ahead; sent before; sent on; stored ahead; wrought themselves by their own deeds, actions and sins which they
    have committed)
  • اَيۡدِيۡ — Aiy-dee — Hands (= The terminal part of the arm below the wrist. In Arabic
    the expression refers to things which are ahead, before, in front or in immediate presence. Their own hands)
  • هِمۡ — Him — Their (= pro., s., m., 3rd person.  Refers to ‘aforesaid wrongdoers’ )
  • وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (=وَ vaao is tantamount to taking oath; solemn declaration)
  • اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • عَلِيۡمٌۢ‏ — Alee-moon(b) — Knows well (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him knows or is knowing. Informed to the maximum. One with total and perfect knowledge with nothing out of His sight. Well-Acquainted; Well-Aware; Most Knowledgeable)
  • بِ — B…(iz) — With (= This word in Arabic literally means with)
  • الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‏ — Zaa-lay-mee-n — Wrongdoers (= n., pl., Bad people.  Criminals.  Culprits.  Doers of harm, hurt or injury.  Evil-doers.  Polytheists. Transgressors. Those who commit, do, practice, repeat or habitually pursue the evil and cause grievous wrongs  to others.  Unfair. Unjust. Violators. Wicked
