The Holy Qor-aan 002:101

اَوَکُلَّمَا عٰهَدُوۡا عَهۡدًا نَّبَذَهٗ فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡهُمۡؕ بَلۡ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ
.
Aa-wa-kool-la-maa-aa-ha-doo-ah-dun-na-ba-za-hoo Fa-ree-qoom-min-hoom Bul-uk-tha-ro-hoom-laa-yoe-may-noon.
And will it be that every time they made a covenant A group among them would discard it? The fact is that most of them do not believe.
- اَ — Aa — Will (= Question mark like Are, Can, Have, Shell or Will?)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- كُلَّمَا — Kool-la-maa — Every time (= This is a combination of two words. The first word كُلٌّ means ‘all, altogether, each and everyone, entirely, everyone, everything, totally, without exception or wholly’. The second word مَا means ‘all that, any time, at such time; when; whenever, what, whatever.’ Joined together كُلَّمَا means “every single time without any exception, as often as, as soon as; no sooner than.”
- عٰهَدُوۡا — Aa-ha-doo — Made (= v., Affirmed; agreed; confirmed; entered; pledged; promised; ratified; verified)
- عَهۡدًا — Ah-dun — Covenant (= n., Binding, firm, serious or solemn affirmation, assurance, contract, covenant, pledge, promise, ratification or undertaking)
- نَّبَذ — Na-ba-za — Would discard (= v., Break; cast aside; cast away; deny; disclaim; flout; rebut; reject; renounce; repudiate; throw aside; turn back on; terminate; violate)
- هٗ — Hoo — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to ‘the pledge’)
- فَرِيۡقٌ — Fa-ree-qoon(m) — A group (= Accomplices; association; a number of; band; class; clique; company; division; faction; part; party; section; selection; some only of a whole lot)
- مِّنۡ — Min — Among (= From the class, category, count, kind, persons or out of)
- ھُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to the promise breakers)
- بَلۡ — Bul — The fact is (=Aye; however; instead; of course but; nay; nevertheless; rather; truthfully; verily; yea; yes indeed)
- اَكۡثَر — Uk-tha-ro — Most of (= Greater or larger number; majority; mostly)
- ھُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to the promise breakers)
- لَا — Laa — Not (= Absolute denial; never; no; not at all; total negation)
- يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ — Yoe-may-noon — Believe (= v. Believe in God. Initial addressees were Israelites who received this direction. Current translations are that this act is to believe in God, the Holy Qor-aan, Islaam and become Moslems by entering the Faith)
