The Holy Qor-aan 002:122
.
اَلَّذِيۡنَ اٰتَيۡنٰهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ يَتۡلُوۡنَهٗ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهٖؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِهٖؕ وَمَنۡ يَّكۡفُرۡ بِهٖ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡخٰسِرُوۡنَ
.
Ul-la-zee-na-aa-tai-naa-ho-mool-kay-taa-ba
Yut-loo-na-hoo-huq-qa-tay-laa-wa-tay-he
Olaa-eka-yoe-may-noo-na-bay-he
Wa-mun-yuk-foor-bay-he
Fa-olaa-eka-ho-mool-kha-say-roo-n
.
Those whom We gave the Book
Recite it as it must be read.
They all believe in it.
And whoever rejects it
Then they all are the losers.

- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those whom (= pl., m, 3rd person. All those articles, things or persons)
- اٰتَيۡ — Aa-tai — Gave (= Awarded; bestowed; conferred; delivered; donated; entrusted; gifted; granted; handed down; revealed; . Also, embraced the blessing of Islam)
- نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
- هُمُ — Ho-mo…(ol) — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to the ‘Recipients of the Book’ – Jews and Christians before Islam, but Moslems after the advent of Islam)
- الۡكِتٰبَ — Ul-Kay-taa-ba — The Book (= 1. The Divine Directive of Commandments and Prohibitions. The Holy Scripture. The Testament that holds good and is operative eternally. The Decreed part of a religion. The Holy Direction of Divine Commands, Rules and Regulations. The Spiritual Code codifying the rules of universal application. 2. The Collection of mandated, ordered, prescribed, preserved, recorded or written do’s and don’ts. 3. Authentic penned down material in black & white)
- يَتۡلُوۡنَ — Yut-loo-na — Recite (= v., Coach, communicate; declare; inform; narrate; tell. Educate; share, study; teach, train or tutor each other. Follow its teachings, obey orders & preach goodness. Ponder over. Reflect. Rehearse. Relate. Worship)
- هٗ — Hoo — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid ‘Book’)
- حَقَّ — Huq-qa — As it must be (= As it deserves, merits, should and ought to be recited, read, followed, practiced upon and shared with others. Appropriately. Equitably. Fairly. Justifiably. Rightly. Suitably. Truthfully. With solid good reason. Also, in equity; in justification; in truthfulness; reasonably)
- تِلَاوَتِ — Tay-laa-wa-tay — Recitation (= n., Reading. Pondering and Reflecting over. Studying and sharing with others by preaching, practicing and professing its goodness, teachings and values)
- هٖ — He — Its (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid ‘Book’)
- اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — Olaa-eka — They all (= Aforesaid facts, persons or things. Here the reference is to the Book’s readers who also recite it)
- يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ — Yo-may-noo-na — Believe (= v. Enter faith. After the advent of Islam, the word refers to those who follow the Holy Qor-aan and Islaam and became Moslems)
- بِ — Bay — With (= This word in Arabic literally means with, but here ‘in’ is a more appropriate translation in English)
- هٖ — He — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid ‘Book’)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- مَنۡ — Mun…(y) — Whoever (= Anyone; whatsoever; who; whom; whomever; whoso)
- يَّكۡفُرۡ — Yuk-foor — Rejects (= v., pl., Acts ungratefully. Fails to appreciate by using. Denies, disbelieves or refuses to believe in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan and Islam to become Moslem)
- بِ — Bay — With (= This word in Arabic literally means with)
- هٖ — He — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid ‘Book’)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; in conclusion; hence; as a result; so; thereafter; therefore; thus; yet)
- اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — Olaa-eka — All (= Aforesaid facts, persons or things. Here the reference is to aforesaid deniers and disbelievers)
- هُمُ — Ho-mo..(ol) — They (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to the ‘Recipients of the Book’ who received the scripture but did not utilize it appropriately)
- لۡخٰسِرُوۡنَ — Kha-say-roo-n — The Losers (= Real and total Failures. Those who lose or are lost)
