The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                               002:126

وَاِذۡ جَعَلۡنَا الۡبَيۡتَ مَثَابَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَاَمۡنًا ؕ وَاتَّخِذُوۡا مِنۡ مَّقَامِ اِبۡرٰهٖمَ مُصَلًّى‌ ؕ وَعَهِدۡنَآ اِلٰٓى اِبۡرٰهٖمَ وَاِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ اَنۡ طَهِّرَا بَيۡتِىَ لِلطَّآٮِٕفِيۡنَ وَالۡعٰكِفِيۡنَ وَالرُّکَّعِ السُّجُوۡدِ

Wa-iz-ja-ul-nul-bai-ta-ma-thaa-ba-ton-lin-naa-say-wa-um-naa
Wut-ta-khay-zoo-mim-ma-qaa-may-ib-raa-he-ma-mo-sul-laa
Wa-aa-hid-naa-elaa-ib-raa-he-ma-wa-is-maa-eela
Un-tuh-hay-raa-bai-tay-ya-lit
Taa-aiy-fee-na-wul-aa-kay-fee-na-wur-rook-ka-is-so-jood.

And when We made the House a resort and a sanctuary for the people
And take the place of Abraham as the place to worship
And We took the pledge from Abraham and Ishmael
That the two will keep clean My House for
The visitors and residents and those who bow a lot and prostrate a lot.

  time, event, occasion, opportunity or time)
• جَعَلۡ — Ja-ul — Made (= v., p., Appointed; assigned; brought into being; caused; created; declared; designed; fashioned; formed; turned; labeled; produced; rendered; set up)
• نَآ — Na..(ul) — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
• الۡبَيۡتَ — Bai-ta — House (= Home. The addition of الۡ before بَيۡتَ particularize it to the Sacred House, referring to Kau-ba in Mecca)
• مَثَابَةً — Ma-tha-ba-ton — Sanctuary (= Place of assembly with firm and lasting prosperity, safety, solidity and tranquility.   Resort, safe haven, safe and secure location where people frequently go to stay or visit.   An establishment providing a lift and solidarity with plenteous subsistence)
• لِ — L…(in) — For (= Concerning. Regarding. Relative to. For the attention, benefit, purpose or reason to guide and help)
•  لنَّاسِ — Naa-say — The people (= Factions; folks; groups; human beings; Mankind; men; nations; tribes)
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ   above)
• اَمۡنًا — Um-naa — Sanctuary (= A serene place of proven peace, prosperity, safety, security and tranquility)
• وَ — Wa…(ut) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• اتَّخِذُوۡا — Ta-khay-zoo — You make * (= A command to adopt, own, practice, stand, take or use)
• مِنۡ — Min…(m) — From (= From the class, category, count, kind, persons or out of)
• مَّقَامِ — Ma-qaa-may — Place * (= Foot-steps, position, station or location where he stood, prayed and worshiped)
• اِبۡرٰهٖمَ — Ib-raa-he-ma — Abraham (= The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah)
• مُصَلًّى — Mo-sul-laa — Place to pray (= Location, manner, method or way to pray and worship to beg, beseech, supplicate or earnestly request)
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj.,  links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• عَهِدۡ — Aa-hid — Took pledge (= Covenanted. Entered into a binding, earnest, firm, serious or solemn affirmation, agreement, assurance, confirmation, contract, pledge, promise, ratification or undertaking. Also, enjoined or laid a strict command)
• نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. We. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
• اِلٰٓى — E-laa — To (= In the direction of; towards)
• اِبۡرٰهٖمَ — Ib-raa-he-ma — Abraham (= The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah)
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• اِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ — Is-maa-eela — Ishmael (= The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah)
• اَنۡ — Un — That (= Since; so that; for the purpose)
• طَهِّرَا — Tuh-hay-raa — Keep clean (= The two to keep the place clean, make holy and keep purified from the disbelief and polytheism; anointed)
• بَيۡتِ — Bai-tay — House (= (= The Sacred House, referring to the Kau-ba in Mecca)
• ىَ — Ya — My (= s., m & f., 1st person. Refers to the Almighty God)
• لِ — L…(it) — For (= Concerning. Regarding. Relative to. For the attention, benefit, purpose or reason to guide and help)
• لطَّآٮِٕفِيۡنَ — Taa-aiy-fee-na — Visitors (= Those who come for 1) a quick round trip, 2) a short visit or 3) walk, circle or perform circuits around the Kau-ba and 4) paying homage by visiting again and again)
• وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• الۡعٰكِفِيۡنَ — Aa-kay-fee-na — Residents (= Devotees; dedicated and sincere dwellers. Who come, cling and retire there out of devotion and for prayers. Who come for an extended stay, live, reside or remain there out of devotion, enter as a retreat and to meditate)
• وَ — Wa…(ur) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• الرُّکَّعِ — Rook-ka..(is) — Bow a lot (= Action in worship wherein one bows down from waist with hands on the knees; kneel)
• السُّجُوۡدِ — So-jood — Prostate a lot (= Action in worship wherein one prostrates with his head down and forehead on the ground to express humility,
  obedience and reverence)

* Note 002:126.  Two over-lapping meanings of   وَاتَّخِذُوۡا مِنۡ مَّقَامِ   are as follows.
1. Make the place he stood to be the physical location for you to stand, pray and worship.
2. Take his foot-steps as the spiritual position and precedent to follow, stand, pray and worship.
