The Holy Qor-aan 002:198
اَلۡحَجُّ اَشۡهُرٌ مَّعۡلُوۡمٰتٌ ۚ فَمَنۡ فَرَضَ فِيۡهِنَّ الۡحَجَّ فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوۡقَۙ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِى الۡحَجِّ ؕ وَمَا تَفۡعَلُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ يَّعۡلَمۡهُ اللّٰهُ ؕؔ وَتَزَوَّدُوۡا فَاِنَّ خَيۡرَ الزَّادِ التَّقۡوٰى وَاتَّقُوۡنِ يٰٓاُولِى الۡاَلۡبَابِ
Ul-huj-jo-uh-ha-roon-mau-loo-maat Fa-mun-fa-ra-dza-fee-hin-nul-huj-ja Fa-laa-ra-fa-tha-wa–laa-fo-soo-qa Wa-laa-jay-daa-la-fil-huj-jay. Wa-maa-tuf-aa-loo-min-kha-rin-yau-la-ma-hool-laa-ho. Wa-ta-zuw-wa-doo-fa-in-na-khai-ruz-zaa-dit-tuq-waa. Wut-ta-qoo-nay-yaa-olil-ul-baab
The Huj is in well-known months So whoever undertook to perform the Hujj in them (months) Then shall have no foul talk, and no rebellion And no wrangling during (or regarding) the Hujj. And whatever out of the good you do, Allah knows it well. And save; indeed the best saving is the righteousness. And be righteous. Pay attention, you all who have the understanding
- اَلۡحَجُّ — Ul-Huj-jo — Hujj (= Performance of the Pilgrimage. See Note 002:159)
- اَشۡهُرٌ — Ush-ha-roon — Months (= n., pl., See Note below for the general meanings of the word and its specific meanings in the present context)
- مَّعۡلُوۡمٰتٌ — Mau-loo-maa-toon — Known (= Appointed; fixed; well-established; well-known)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; as a result; so; thus; therefore; yet)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; who; whom; whomever; whoso)
- فَرَضَ — Fa-ra-dza — Undertook (= Accepted, appointed; decided, determined, intended, fixed, settled on, or undertook the obligation; made up mind)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Concerning; in reference, regarding. Also, Inside a duration, event, time, place, period or situation)
- هِنَّ — Hin-na…(ul) — Them (= pl., f., in 3rd person. Refers to an aforesaid single shown, specified or stated article, thing or person)
- الۡحَجَّ — Ul-Huj-ja — Hujj (= Pilgrimage. See Note 002:159)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; as a result; so; thus; therefore; yet. A/t/a then he should keep in his mind)
- لَا — Laa — No, not (= Absolute denial; never; not at all; total negation)
- رَفَثَ — Ra-fa-tha — Approach (= Conjugal relations; consort; getting close to; having intimacies and relationships with wives; lying down. Some translations using more explicit terms to describe the normal and natural husband/wife relations are left out as inappropriate verbiage. A/t/a The conversation, language, speech, talk, words spoken aloud or gestured that out of the domestic privacy are foul, immodest, lewd, loose, obscene, sex-oriented insinuations or in any other way reflective of unacceptable nature or wickedness. - جِدَالَ — Jay-daa-la — Wrangling (= Altercations; angry conversation; arguing wastefully; contentions; disputing unjustly; fighting; quarreling)

- الۡحَجِّ — Ul-Huj-jay — The Hujj (= Pilgrimage. See the Note 002:159)

- خَيۡرٍ — Khai-rin — Good (= Appreciable, happy or pleasant acts, deeds, things or occasions; comparatively superior; of greater, higher or more value; at apex; best; noblest; on top)
- يَعۡلَمۡ — Yau-la-mo(ol) — Knows (= v., Is aware. Has the information and knowledge)
- هُ — Ho…(ol) — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid good act)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- تَزَوَّدُوۡا — Ta-zuw-wa-do — Save (= Furnish with necessary provisions; invest in the future; make or take provision for the journey ahead)
- فَ — Fa — So (= Consequently; as a result; so; thus; therefore; yet)
- اِنَّ — In-na — Indeed (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly positively; really; seriously; surely; truly; verily)
- خَيۡرَ — Khai-ra…(uz) — Good (= Appreciable, happy or pleasant acts, deeds, things or occasions; comparatively superior; of greater, higher or more value; at apex; best; noblest; on top)
- الزَّادِ — Zaa-d…(it) — Savings (= Investment for the future; make or take provision for yourself for the journey ahead)
