The Holy Qor-aan 002:204
وَاذۡكُرُوا اللّٰهَ فِىۡٓ اَيَّامٍ مَّعۡدُوۡدٰتٍؕ فَمَنۡ تَعَجَّلَ فِىۡ يَوۡمَيۡنِ فَلَاۤ اِثۡمَ عَلَيۡهِ ۚ وَمَنۡ تَاَخَّرَ فَلَاۤ اِثۡمَ عَلَيۡهِ ۙ لِمَنِ اتَّقٰى ؕ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاعۡلَمُوۡٓا اَنَّکُمۡ اِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُوۡنَ
Wuz-ko-rool-laa-ha-fee-auy-yaa-mim-mau-do-daat Fa-mun-ta-uj-ja-la-fee-yao-mai-nay-fa-laa-ith-ma-alai-hay Wa-mun-ta-ukh-kha-ra-fa-laa-ith-ma-alai-hay Lay-ma-nit-ta-qaa-wut-ta-qool-laa-ha Wau-la-moo-un-na-koom-elai-hay-toh-sha-roo-n.
And remember Allah in the counted number of days So whoever hastens by two days incurs no sin on him And whoever delays it shall have no sin on him. All this is for whoever feared God. And fear angering Allah And know that you surely will be brought to Him.

- مَّعۡدُوۡدٰتٍ — Mau-do-daat — Counted (= pl., Appointed; certain; designated; enumerated; fixed; numbered; specified number; prescribed)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; as a result; so; thus; therefore; yet)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; who; whom; whomever; whoso)
- تَعَجَّلَ — Ta-uj-ja-la — Hastens * (= Acts sooner than; departs or leaves earlier than; hurries or hastens to depart)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Amidst, among, contained or inside a duration, event time, place, period, thing or situation)
- يَوۡمَيۡنِ — Yao-mai-nay — Two days (= n., 2pl. Couple of days. See اَيَّامٍ above)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; as a result; so; thus; therefore; yet)
- لَا — Laa — No, not (= Absolute denial; never; not at all; total negation)
- اِثۡمَ — Ith-ma — Sin (= n., Blame; crime; guilt; infraction; illegality; wrong; unjustifiable or unlawful conduct for which one is accountable; iniquity; injustice; transgression; unjust)
- عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; against; before; for; on top of; over; upon)
- هِ — Hay — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid person)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; who; whom; whomever; whoso)
- تَاَخَّرَ — Ta-ukh-kha-ra — Delays (= Acts later than; lingers; postpones; stays on behind)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; as a result; so; thus; therefore; yet)
- لَا — Laa — No (= Absolute denial; never; not at all; total negation)
- اِثۡمَ — Ith-ma — Sin (= n., Blame; crime; guilt; infraction; illegality; wrong; unjustifiable or unlawful conduct for which one is accountable; iniquity; injustice; transgression; unjust)
- عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; against; before; for; on top of; over; upon)
- هِ — Hay — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid person)
- لِ — Lay — All this is for (= For the purpose or reason. This allowance, concession, direction, exception or permission is for anyone who is “inspired by the spirit of righteousness”)
- مَنِ — Ma-n…(it) — Whoever (= Anyone; whoever; whatever; whom; whomever)
- اتَّقٰى — Ut-ta-qaa– Feared God (=Acted piously and righteously; avoided angering Allah. Did duty to or good fearing Allah. Guarded himself against evil. Practiced righteousness. Intended to or aimed for doing the right. More meanings in the Commentary titled as The Righteous)

- اتَّقُوا — Tuq-qoo…(l) — Fear angering (= v., Avoid angering Allah; be righteous. Take Allah as the shield. See اتَّقٰى above)
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- وَ — Wa…(au) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- اعۡلَمُوۡٓا — Au-la-moo — You Know (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Be aware and informed; learn)
- اَنَّ — Un-na — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; seriously; truly; verily)
- كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person., You . The Holy Qor-aan and states that way when addressing both men and women jointly)
- اِلَيۡ — E-lai — To (= In the direction of; to; towards)

- تُحۡشَرُوۡنَ — Toh-sha-roo-n — Be brought (= v., pres., pass., pl., 2nd person., You will be brought to appear for an audience or have a hearing. Collected as if for an inspection. Rounded up for presentment. Also, assembled; banded; driven; gathered)
* Note 002:204. Words matter. That is what this site is all about. One translation “Pressed and leave in two days time” shows that the allowed hastening or leaving earlier has to be due to some external factor: like if pressed for time. Without the word pressed, the permission to leave earlier extends to one’s own accord as well. God Almighty gave choice to the believers to leave early or stay longer. Man’s translations can’t limit, restrict or take away that allowance by subjecting it to only if pressed, forced or compelled by the circumstances.
