The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                           002-245

وَقَاتِلُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَاعۡلَمُوۡٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ○‏

           

Wa-qaa-tay-loo-fee-sa-bee-lil-laa-hay                                                                                          Wau-la-moo-un-nul-laa-ha-Sa-mee-oon-aa-lee-m.

 

And you fight in the cause of Allah                                                                                       And know that Allah surely is Hears all, Knows all.

 

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • قَاتِلُوۡا — Qaa-tay-loo — You fight (= v., Act in self-defense; attack; fight back; oppose; push back; retaliate; strive; struggle.   See our Commentaries Jihad, Is It Fighting and others relative to the Jihad)
  • فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Inside a duration, event time, place, period, thing or situation; Belonging to the category or rank of)
  • سَبِيۡلِ — Sa-beel…(il) — Cause (= Line; path; road; way; for the sake of)
  • اللّٰهِ‌ —  Laa-hay — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • وَ — Wa…(u) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • اعۡلَمُوۡٓا — Au-la-moo — You Know (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Be aware and informed; learn)
  • اَنَّ — Un-na…(ul) — Surely (= Certainly; definitely; indeed; positively; verily)
  • اللّٰهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • سَمِيۡعٌ — Sa-mee-oon — Hears all (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him hears the best.   All or Most Hearing.   The Hearer.   Hears to the ultimate maximum.   Hears all wholly, entirely, truly surely, totally and surely.   Real Hearer.   The One from whom nothing is beyond, missed or out of hearing)
  • عَلِيۡمٌ — Aa-lee-m — Knows all (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him knows, is knowing. Informed to the maximum.   All-knowing.   Has total and perfect knowledge.   Nothing is out of sight.   Knows all.   Well-Acquainted.   Well-Aware.   Most Knowledgeable
