The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                     002:273

 

لَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكَ هُدٰٮهُمۡ وَلٰـكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ‌ ؕ   وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَلِاَنۡفُسِكُمۡ‌ؕ  وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ   وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ يُّوَفَّ اِلَيۡكُمۡ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ لَا تُظۡلَمُوۡنَ○‏

 

Lai-sa-alai-ka-ho-daa-hoom                                                                                                              Wa-laa-kin-nul-laa-ha-yah-dee-mun-ya-shaa-o                                                                         Wa-maa-toon-fay-qoo-min-khai-rin-fa-lay-un-fo-say-koom                                                    Wa-maa-toon-fay-qoo-na-il-lub-tay-ghaa-aa-wuj-hil-laa-hay                                                 Wa-maa-toon-fay-qoo-min-khai-rin-yo-wuf-fa-alai-koom                                                    Wa-un-toom-laa-tooz-la-moon

 

No binding duty on you is guiding them                                                                        But Allah guides whomever He chooses.                                                                           And what you spend out of good things is for yourself.                                         And you never spend anything except to seek the attention of Allah.              And whatever of good things you spend will be fully returned to you.              And you certainly won’t be wronged.

 

  • لَيۡسَ — Lai-sa — No (= Never; not; not all; absolute and total negation
  • عَلَيۡ — Alai– On (= Above; for; on top of; over; upon. Refers to the burden, binding duty, obligation, requirement or responsibility with which you are charged to deliver by honoring it)
  • كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message is initially the Holy Prophet s.a.w and secondarily every Moslem, in fact every human being. See the Note under 002:005)
  • هُدٰ ى — Ho-daa — Guiding (= n., The action of setting up someone on correct course,  linear lines, proper path, right road or wise ways)
  • ھُمۡ‌ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to the disbelievers and heretics who have no faith in the Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  •  لٰـكِنَّ — La-kin-na(ul) — But (= However; instead; nevertheless; yet)
  • ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • يَهۡدِىۡ — Yah-dee — Guides (= v., pres., Coddles on correct course; direct accurately  towards the best way; gives the best direction; leads on  linier lines; puts on proper path; shows the right road
  • مَنۡ — Mun… (..y) — Whom (= Any one; whoever; whomever; whomsoever)
  • يَّشَآءُ — Ya-shaa-o — He chooses (= v., pres., Decrees; decides; desires; destines; dictates;  likes; mandates; orders; pleases; prefers; rules; selects; wants; wills; wishes)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See  وَ  above)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — What (= All that; whatever; whatsoever. Refers to everything of value   including one’s time, talent, energy, abilities, potentials and every kind of physical assets, money, property, possessions and wealth)
  • تُنۡفِقُوۡا — Toon-fay-qoo — You spend (= v., Contribute; donate; give in charity. Expend, lay, put or use for noble purposes. Help those in need. Invest in good causes.  Practice giving alms.  You spend your  belongings, substance and wealth in the causes of Allah)
  • مِنۡۢ — Min — Out of (= Among or from the class, category or count of)
  • خَيۡرٍ — Khai-rin — Good things (=All God-given gifts and things of value such as one’s time, talent, energy, abilities and potentials and physical including all kinds of assets, money, property, possessions and wealth. A/t/a ‘pure wealth’)
  • فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; resultantly; so; thereafter; therefore; yet)
  • لِ — Lay — For (= For the benefit, object, purpose or reason; intended for)
  • اَنۡفُسِ — Un-fo-say — Selves (= n., pl., Hearts; individuals; minds; own sake; persons;  souls)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m & f., 2nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan states this way when addressing both men and women  jointly)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See  وَ  above)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — Never (= Absolute negation. No. Not at all)
  • تُنۡفِقُوۡنَ — Toon-fay-qoo-na– You spend (= v., Contribute; donate; give in charity. See تُنۡفِقُوۡا above)
  • اِلَّا — Il-laa…(ub) — Except (= Apart from; besides; excluding; other than; save)
  • ابۡتِغَآءَ — (Ub) tay-ghaa-aa — Seeking (= Aspiring; desiring; going after; looking for; pursuing;  searching; trying for; wanting and wishing to get)
  • وَجۡهِ — Wuj-hay…(l) — Attention (= Countenance; face; favor; focus; pleasure)
  • اللّٰهِ — La-hay — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See  وَ  above)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — What (= All that; whatever; whatsoever. Everything of value including one’s time, talent, energy. etc. See مَاۤ above)
  • تُنۡفِقُوۡا — Toon-fay-qoo — You spend (= v., Contribute; donate; give in charity. See تُنۡفِقُوۡا above)
  • مِنۡۢ — Min — From (= From the class, category or count of; out of)
  • خَيۡرٍ — Khai-rin — Good things (=All God-given gifts and things of value. See خَيۡرٍ above)
  • يُّوَفَّ — Yo-wuf-fa — Fully returned (= v., Credited; paid back; rebounded; repaid; reversed;  rewarded)
  • اِلَيۡ — Alai — To (= In the direction of; to; towards. For the advantage)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m & f., 2nd person. You.  See كُمۡ above)
  • وَ  — Wa — And (= pro., pl., m & f., 2nd person. You. See  وَ  above)
  • اَنۡ — Un — Certainly (= Absolutely; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed;     positively; really; seriously; surely; truly; verily)
  • تُمۡ — Toom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan and other scriptures state that way when they address both men and women jointly)
  • لَا — Laa — Not (= Absolute negation; denying; no; nor; not)
  • تُظۡلَمُوۡنَ — Tooz-la-moon — Wronged (= v., pass., Given less than the due or diminished returns. Dealt with or treated unfairly, unjustly, inadequately or inappropriately. Shorted. Short-changed)

** Note 002:273.  M Mohammad Ali in his Note 359 made a very significant point that strikes at the very root, and contradicts the Mullah-fabricated concept, of Jihad. He stated as follows.

The Muslim society had “to repel its enemies in the interests of its existence. It show that the Muslims did not fight to bring the disbelievers into the folds of Islam; for that, the Prophet is told in words, was not his responsibility. It was for the good of their people, the defence of the Muslim community that the Muslims were required to raise subscriptions”.
