Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                      002:280

 

فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلُوۡا فَاۡذَنُوۡا بِحَرۡبٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ‌ۚ  وَاِنۡ تُبۡتُمۡ فَلَـكُمۡ رُءُوۡسُ اَمۡوَالِكُمۡ‌ۚ لَا تَظۡلِمُوۡنَ وَلَا تُظۡلَمُوۡنَ‏

 

Fa-in-lum-tuf-aa-loo-fau-za-noo-bay-hur-bin                                                                            May-nul-laa-hay-wa-ra-soo-lay-he                                                                                                  Wa-in-toob-toom-fa-la-koom-ra-oo-so-um-waa-lay-koom                                                      Laa-tuz-lay-moo-na-wa-laa-tooz-la-moo-n

 

Yet if you don’t do that, then take notice of a war                                                            From Allah and His Messenger.                                                                                         And if you turn repentant, then for you are the principals of your money.          (That way) you won’t do wrong and you won’t be wronged.

 

  • فَ — Fa — Yet (= But; consequently; in result; so; then; therefore; yet)
  • اِنۡ — In — If (= If the situation arises; in case; under the circumstances)
  • لَمۡ — Lum — Not (= Never; no, not at all)
  • تَفۡعَلُوۡا — Tuf-aa-loo — You do (= Act accordingly; practice; perform)
  • فَ — Fa…(u) — Then (= But; consequently; in result; so; therefore; yet)
  • اۡ ذَ نُوۡا — Au-za-noo — Take notice (= v., Announced. Be apprised. Be warned. Beware. It is declared. Put on notice. Stand informed. Take caution.  A/t/a, (by adding words not in the original text) ‘War shall be declared against you by Allah and His apostle’)
  • بِ — Bay — In (= Literal translation and best sense conveyed is ‘with’)
  • حَرۡبٍ — Hur-bin…(m) — War (= n., Battle; fight. The situation in which two opposing  factions or groups are pitted against each other to defeat and celebrate a win or victory over the other)
  • مِّنَ — May-na…(ul) — From (= From the class, category, count, side or out of
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • رَسُوۡلِ — Ra-soo-lay — Messenger (= Apostle; Prophet)
  • هٖ  — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Additionally; also; although; but.  See وَ  above)
  • اِنۡ — In — If (= If the situation arises; in case; under the circumstances)
  • تُبۡ — Toob — Turn repentant (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Ask, beg, request, pursue, seek or want forgiveness. Regret; relent. Mend your ways. Turn away or turn back from the unlawful transaction)
  • تُمۡ — Toom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan states this way when addressing both men and women jointly
  • فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; in result; then; thereafter; therefore; yet)
  • لَ — La –For (= Keep; retain)
  • کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan states this way when addressing both men and women jointly
  • رُءُ وۡسُ — Ra-oo-so — Principals (= pl., Heads; capitals or original sums of money loaned)
  • اَمۡوَالِ — Um-waa-lay — Assets (= Money; property; richness; wealth)
  • کُمۡ — Koom — Your (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan states this way when addressing both men and women jointly
  • لَا — Laa — No (= Absolutely not; not at all; never)
  • تَظۡلِمُوۡنَ — Tuz-lay-moo-na — You do wrong (= v., active. Cause loss. Commit injustice. Deal or treat unjustly. Do injustice, loss or wrong to anyone else)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Additionally; also; although; but.  See وَ  above)
  • لَا — Laa — Not (= Absolutely not; not at all; never)
  • تُظۡلَمُوۡنَ  — Tooz-la-moo-n — You be wronged (= v., pres., pass., pl., 2nd person. You will be … caused loss, dealt unjustly, done injustice, given less than the due, treated unfairly, rewarded diminished return or subjected to any wrong)
