The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                           002:286

.

اٰمَنَ الرَّسُوۡلُ بِمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ رَّبِّهٖ وَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ‌ؕ كُلٌّ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَلٰٓٮِٕكَتِهٖ وَكُتُبِهٖ وَرُسُلِهٖ‌ؕ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيۡنَ اَحَدٍ مِّنۡ رُّسُلِهٖ‌‌ؕ وَقَالُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَاَطَعۡنَا‌ غُفۡرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَاِلَيۡكَ الۡمَصِيۡرُ ‏

 

Aa-ma-nur-ra-soo-lo-bay-maa-oon-zay-la                                                                                    Elai-hay-min-rub-bay-he-wul-moe-may-noon                                                                                Kool-loon-aa-ma-na-bil-laa-hay-wa-ma-laa-aiy-ka-tay-he                                                        Wa-ko-to-bay-he-wa-ro-so-lay-he                                                                                                     Laa-no-fur-ray-qo-bai-na-aha-dim-min-ro-so-lay-he                                                                Wa-qaa-loo-sa-mae-naa-wa-aa-tau-naa                                                                                         Ghoof-raa-na-ka-rub-ba-naa-wa-elai-kul-ma-see-r.

 

The messenger has believed in all that was entrusted                                                To him from his God and the believers have likewise.                                                   All of them believed in Allah and His angels                                                                   And His books and His messengers affirming, declaring or saying:                  “We hold no difference between any of His messengers.”                                       And they all said, “We have heard and we have obeyed.                                              We seek Your forgiveness, Our God,. And to You is the ultimate Return.

 

  • اٰمَنَ — Aa-ma-na..(r) —  He Believed (= v., past., s., 3rd person., Believed in the Holy Qor-aan, became Moslems and entered in the Faith of Isslaam — See the explanation in our Commentary Islam – 101. Also, he made peace, protected, rescued, saved or secured himself from sin and against fear)    
  • الرَّسُوۡلُ — Ra-soo-lo — The Messenger (= s., Apostle; God’s message; prophet; sage; saint. Mostly the term The Messenger is generally interpreted to mean only the Holy Prophet Mohammed, s.a.w
  • بِمَا — Bay-maa — Because (= Combination of two words.  بِ  means ‘with / in’ and مَاۤ  means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever.’ The combination بِمَا (bay-maa) means ‘because of; on account of; for the reason; due to; with / in all that.’
  • اُنۡزِلَ — Oon-zay-la — Entrusted  **  (= v., past., pass., s, 3rd person. Dispatched, given, granted, inspired; revealed. Handed, laid, lowered, or sent down. Also, delivered; landed; provided; released; supplied. ** See Note 002:005a)
  • اِلَى — Elai — To (= In the direction of; towards; with)
  • هِ — Hay — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid Messenger)
  • مِنۡ — Min…(r) — From (= From the class, category, count, person or out of)
  • رَّبِّRub-bay — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
  • هٖ — Hee — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid Messenger)
  • وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ‌ — Moe-may-noon — The believers (= n,. Adherents of Islam; those who enter the Faith,  believe, and follow the Holy Qor-aan, the Islaam and become Moslems. Men of faith. The faithful)
  • كُلٌّKool-loon — All of them (= Altogether; each one; everyone; they all)
  • اٰمَنَ — Aa-ma-na — Believed (= v., past., s., 3rd person., Believed in the Holy Qor-aan,  became Moslems and entered in the Faith of Islaam. Also, he made peace, protected, rescued, saved or secured himself from sin and against fear) 
  • بِ — B…(il) — In / With (= The literal equivalent of this word in English is ‘with’. But here it is also appropriate to translate it with ‘in’)
  • اللّٰهِ — La-hay — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • مَلٰٓٮِٕكَتِ — Ma-laa-aiy-ka-tay — Angels (= The immortal beings attendant upon God)
  •  هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • كُتُبِ Ko-to-bay Books (= Divine codes; scriptures)
  • هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • رُسُلِ Ro-so-lay Messengers (= pl., Apostles; God’s messenger; prophet; sage; saint)
  •  هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
  • لَاLaa — No (= Absolute denial; never; no; not at all; total negation)
  • نُفَرِّقُ — No-fur-ray-qo — Hold difference (= v., Discriminate, cause separation, differentiate or make distinction in believing. This Prohibition is also reiterated in the verse 003:085)
  • بَيۡنَ  — Bai-na — Among (= Between; betwixt)
  • اَحَدٍ — Aha-din — Anyone (= Individual; one against or compared with any other single person)
  • مِّنۡ — Min — From (= From among the class, category, count or out of)
  • رُسُلِ — Ro-so-lay — Messengers (= n., pl., Sent with Almighty God’s message; apostles, prophets; sages; saints)
  •  هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • قَالُوۡا — Qaa-loo — They all said (= v., past; pl., Announced; broadcast; conveyed;  declared; informed; invoked; prayed; professed; replied; specified; stated; supplicated; told)
  • سَمِعۡ — Sa-may-e — Heard (= v., past; Attended to; listened; paid attention)
  • نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. We / Us)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • اَطَعۡ — Aa-tau — Obeyed (= v, past; Carried out instructions; followed directions;  did as bid; executed whatever was commanded)
  • نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. We / Us)
  • غُفۡرَانَ — Ghoof-raa-na — Seek forgiveness (= Beg, beseech, crave, implore or seek excusing, giving a pass or pardoning)
  • كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. Ref is to the Almighty God)
  • رَبَّRub-ba — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
