The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                   003:079

 

وَاِنَّ مِنۡهُمۡ لَـفَرِيۡقًا يَّلۡوٗنَ اَلۡسِنَتَهُمۡ بِالۡكِتٰبِ لِتَحۡسَبُوۡهُ مِنَ الۡكِتٰبِ‌ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ الۡكِتٰبِۚ  وَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ هُوَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ‌ۚ  وَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الۡكَذِبَ وَ هُمۡ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‏

 

Wa-in-na-min-hoom-la-fa-re-qun                                                                                                      Yul-woo-na-ul-say-na-ta-hoom-bil-kay-taa-bay                                                                          Lay-tuh-sa-boo-ho-may-nul-kay-taa-bay                                                                                   Wa-maa-ho-wa-may-nul-kay-taa-bay                                                                                             Wa-ya-qoo-loo-na-ho-wa-min-in-dil-laa-hay                                                                                  Wa-maa-ho-wa-min-in-dil-laa-hay                                                                                              Wa-ya-qoo-loo-na-alul-laa-hil-ka-zay-ba-wa-hoom-yau-la-moon

 

And among them certainly is a group who                                                                          Twist their tongues with the Book                                                                                          So that you construe it to be from the Book                                                                        And it is not from the Book                                                                                                      And they say that it is from Allah                                                                                            And it is not from Allah                                                                                                               And they tell a lie on Allah and they know it.”

 

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • اِنَّ — In-na — Certainly (= Absolutely; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed;      positively; really; seriously; surely; truly; verily)
  • مِنۡ — Min — Among (= From or out of the class, category, count, kind, persons)
  • هُمۡ‌ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to sellers of promise to Allah for a paltry price)
  • لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely  doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily)
  • فَرِيۡقًا — Fa-ree-qun — A group (= Division; faction; A little of; part; portion; section; selection; share; some only of a whole lot. A/t/a, Accomplices; association; a number of; band; class; clique; company)
  • يَّلۡوٗنَ — Yul-woo-na — Twist (= v., Alter meanings; bend in reading; distort translation; deform and disfigure in interpretations)
  • اَلۡسِنَت — Ul-say-na-ta — Tongues (= The movable fleshy organ attached to the bottom of the inside of the mouth of humans and most animals, used for tasting, licking, swallowing, and in humans speech. Also, speech, talk or when quoting. M Muhammad Ali translated the two words  يَّلۡوٗنَ اَلۡسِنَتَ  [twisting tongues] with just one word ‘lie’)
  • هُمۡ‌ — Hoom — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. See  هُمۡ‌  above)
  • بِ — Bay…(il) — With (= Literally the word  بِ  means ‘with’)
  • الۡكِتٰبِ — Il-kay-taa-bay — The Book (= 1. The Divine Directive of Commands, Prohibitions, Rules and Regulations. Holy Scripture. Perfect Book Testament that holds good and is operative eternally. Decreed part of a religion. Spiritual Code codifying the rules of universal application.  2. The Collection of mandated, ordered, prescribed, preserved, recorded, written Do’s and Don’ts.  3. Authentic penned down material in black and white)

  • تَحۡسَبُو —  Tuh-sa-boo — You construe (= Assume; believe; consider; count; guess; take; think)
  • هُ — Ho — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to what they read or recite from the Book)
  • مِنَ — May-na…(ul) — From (= Among, from, part or out of the Book)
  • الۡكِتٰبِ — Ul-kay-taa-bay — The Book (=The Divine Directive of Commands. See  الۡكِتٰبِ  above)

  • مَا — Maa — Not (= Absolutely no; never; not at all)

  • هُوَ — Ho-wa — He (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Book they read)
  • مِنۡ — Min — From (= From or out of what Almighty has revealed in Book)
  • عِنۡدَ — In-da…(ul) Near (= At; close at hand; from; in; in close proximity of; with. In the counting, esteem; estimate, eyes, front, near or presence of.  In the presence, seeing or sight of)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • مَا  — Maa —  Not (= Absolutely no; never; not at all)

  • يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ — Yau-la-moo-n — They Know (= v., pres., pl., Have full knowledge of all facts after they have collected them conscientiously, deliberately, knowingly, intentionally and purposefully. Are aware. Know the consequence of their calumny and enormity.    Possess the necessary information entirely.  Understand with full recognition)
