The Holy Qor-aan 003:102
وَكَيۡفَ تَكۡفُرُوۡنَ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡكُمۡ اٰيٰتُ اللّٰهِ وَفِيۡكُمۡ رَسُوۡلُهٗ ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّعۡتَصِمۡ بِاللّٰهِ فَقَدۡ هُدِىَ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ
Wa-kai-fa-tuk-fo-roo-na-wa-un-toom Toot-laa-alai-koom-aa-yaa-tool-laa-hay Wa-fee-koom-ra-soo-la-hoo Wa-mun-yoe-ta-sim-bil-laa-hay Fa-qud-ho-day-ya-elaa-say-raa-tim-moos-ta-qee-m
And how can you disbelieve when surely it is you that Allah’s signs are recited on you And His Messenger is among you. And he who holds fast to Allah Then he definitely is guided towards the right road.
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- كَيۡفَ — Kai-fa — How can (= How about, could, should or would it be, do or fare. In what fashion, manner, method or way. This is a fantastic prediction about the future and one of the Rules of Universal Application)
- تَكۡفُرُوۡنَ — Tuk-fo-roo-na — You disbelieve (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. 1. Deny, disbelieve, refuse or reject faith or belief in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan and Islaam by becoming Moslems. 2. Fail to appreciate, thank and gratefully utilize God’s blessings and opportunities provided to you act ungratefully. 3. Be or become heretics, infidels, resistors to God or unbelievers)
- وَ — Wa — When (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- اَنۡ — Un — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; positively; surely
- تُمۡ — Toom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan states this way when addressing both men and women jointly)
- تُتۡلٰى –Toot-laa — Were read (= v., pass., 2nd person., Informed by being spoken to; narrated; recited; rehearsed; taught; tutored)
- عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; against; before; for; on top of; over; to; upon)
- كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person., You . The Holy Qor-aan states that way when addressing both men and women jointly)
- اٰيٰتُ — Aa-yaa-to — Signs (= pl of. Manifestation; message; narrative; revelation; verse. 2. Command; direction; evidence; law; order. 3. Corroboration; indication; lesson; portent; proof; pointer; symbol; token. 4. Every element to create the crystal clear picture leading to an absolute conviction. 5. Argument, part or portion that highlights a thing)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- فِىۡ — Fee — Among (= Amidst; in; inside a duration, situation, place, event, period or time. A/t/a, ‘midst,’ and ‘lives’)
- كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person., You . See كُمۡ above)
- رَسُوۡلُ — Ra-soo-lo — Messenger (= s., Apostle; God’s messenger; great Prophet; sage; saint)
- هٗ — Hoo — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- مَنۡ — Mun — He who (= Anyone; whoever; whom; whomever; whoso)
- يَّعۡتَصِمۡ — Yau-ta-sim — Holds fast (= v., pres., 3rd person., Gets, obtains, seeks, secures or takes the protection. Some translations added firmly)
- بِ — Bay … (il) — To (= Literally the word بِ means ‘with’. Here the message in original text is conveyed better in English with ‘to‘)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= As a result; consequently; hence; so; then; thereafter; therefore; yet. A/t/a After all this; at the end; in the final analysis; in conclusion)
- قَدۡ — Qud — Indeed (= This word lays emphasis such as with … Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; certainly; clearly; definitely; doubtlessly; for sure; indeed; in spite of; obviously; positively; specifically; surely; verily; with no doubt whatsoever)
- هُدِىَ — Ho-day-ya — Guided (= v., past., pass., Coddled on correct course; directed to the right road; given the best direction; led on linier lines; put on proper path; shown the best way)
- اِلٰى — E-laa — Towards (= In the direction of; to. A/t/a, at)
- صِرَاطٍ — Say-raa-tin(m) — Road (= Course; direction; lines; path; route; way. See 001:006)
- مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ — Moos-ta-qee-m — Right (= Appropriate; best; correct; proper; straight. The ‘strongest and shortest distance between any two points’ is always the straight line)
* 003:102. The original text is in plural form اٰيٰتُ اللّٰهِ but one translation [by Ahmad Zidan] is in singular form as “The Revelation of GOD is recited to you.”
