The Holy Qor-aan 003:121
اِنۡ تَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤۡهُمۡوَاِنۡ تُصِبۡكُمۡ سَيِّئَةٌ يَّفۡرَحُوۡا بِهَا ۚ وَاِنۡ تَصۡبِرُوۡا وَتَتَّقُوۡا لَا يَضُرُّكُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـــًٔا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ مُحِيۡطٌ
In-tum-sus-koom-ha-sa-na-toon-ta-soo-hoom Wa-in-to-sib-koom-suy-aa-tun-yuf-ra-hoo-bay-haa Wa-in-tus-bay-roo-wa-tut-ta-qoo Laa-ya-dzoor-ro-koom-kai-da-hoom-shai-aa In-nul-laa-ha-bay-maa-yau-ma-loo-na-mo-hee-t
If a goodness touches you, it hurts them. And if a misfortune reaches you, they rejoice at it. And if you be patient and pious Their plan won’t hurt you at all. And surely Allah rounds up all that they do.

- حَسَنَةٌ — Ha-sa-na-toon — Goodness = n., Achievement; anything good; best of the things in the best of the forms; blessing; good fortune; success; lucky break; lucky chance)
- تَسُؤۡ — Ta-soo — It hurts (= v., pres., Anguishes; discomforts; grieves; pains. A/t/a, it is bad for them)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to enemies of Moslems)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- اِنۡ — In — If (= In case; under the circumstances; when; whenever)
- تُصِبۡ — To-sib — Reaches (= v., pres., f., 3rd person. Affects; afflicts; arrives; befalls; comes; engulfs; falls on; gets to; gets hold of; hits; lands upon; is delivered; overcomes; overpowers; overtakes; reaches; smites; strikes; touches.
- كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person., You. See كُمۡ above)
- سَيِّئَةٌ — Suy-yay-aa-toon — Misfortune (= Bad thing; calamity; catastrophe; disaster; evil; hard luck; harm; hurt; mishap; tragedy; trouble)
- يَّفۡرَحُوۡا — Yuf-ra-hoo — They rejoice (= v., pres., pl., m., 3rd person. Brings happiness and joy; gladdens. A/t/a, Added in the translation is ‘Their hearts’ without any corresponding words in the original text)
- بِ — Bay — With / At (= Literally the word بِ means ‘with.’ A/t/a, at)
- هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person., Refers to aforesaid ‘bad thing’)

- تَصۡبِرُوۡا –Tus-bay-roo — You be patient (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person., Constant, persistent or steadfast. Persevere)

- تَتَّقُوۡا — Tut-ta-qoo — Be pious (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person, Be God fearing, mindful of duty to God, righteous or upright. Protect against bad. Ward off evil. See Commentary The Righteous for other differently worded meanings)
- لَا — Laa — Not (= Absolute denial; never; no; not at all; total negation)
- يَضُرّ — Ya-dzoor-ro — Hurt (= v., pres., s., m., 3rd person., Bring discomfort; cause a pain or harm or loss; injure)

- اللّٰهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)

- مَاۤ — Maa — All that (= What; whatever; whatsoever)
- يَعۡمَلُون — Yau-ma-loon — They do (= v., pres., pl., m., 3 rd person. Act; perform; practice. render; are doing)
- مُحِيۡطٌۢ — Mo-hee-t — Rounds up (= Always and invariably does encircle, encompass, herd together, surround or lead them to the intended location or a desired destination. The word indicates all of them leaving none behind, like a shepherd rounding up all his cattle from getting lost)
