The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                            003:132

 

وَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِىۡۤ اُعِدَّتۡ لِلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ‌ۚ‏

 

Wut-ta-qoo-naa-rul-la-tee-o-id-dut-lil-kaa-fay-ree-n.

 

 And fear the fire of which is prepared for the disbelievers.

 

  • وَ — Wa…(ut) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but  also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • اتَّقُوۡا — Ta-qoo…(n) — Fear (= Avoid; beware; be warned; guard or protect against.  The root of this word means lifting one’s lower-body garments from getting soiled by dirt on the ground or entangled with thorns there. It has been translated with widely different words and phrases that has led readers to different concepts including. See the verse 002:003 and our Commentary titled as ‘The Righteous‘)
  • النَّارَ — Naa-ra…(ul) — The Fire (= Hell; purgatory; also, anger, punishment or wrath of Allah. Literally, the source for light and heat)
  • الَّتِىۡ — Ul-la-tee — Which (= s., f., in 3rd person. Ref is to the ‘ Fire’)
  • اُعِدَّتۡ‏ — O-id-dut — Prepared (= Got ready)
  • لِ — L…(il) — For ( = Because of; due to; for the benefit, purpose or reason;   on account of; so that; towards; with intent / object of)
  • الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ — Kaa-fay-ree-n –The ungrateful (= n., pl., 1. Non-appreciating; thankless; unappreciative; who abuse, misuse, refuse, fail to use, or gratefully acknowledge and utilize any of the many God-given blessings, gifts, opportunities or talents provided to them.  2. Deniers; disbelievers; faithless; heretics, infidels; non-believers; rejecters of the Faith; resistors to God; unbelievers. Also, some translators have limited this word to only mean those who deny, disbelieve, refuse or reject the Faith of Islam, belief in Allah, believe the Holy Qor-aan, and be Moslems, as used among others in this verse and 002:099, 002:251, 002:287,  003:033,  003:101, 002:025)
