The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                            003:140

وَلَا تَهِنُوۡا وَ لَا تَحۡزَنُوۡا وَاَنۡتُمُ الۡاَعۡلَوۡنَ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ

Wa-laa-ta-hay-noo-wa-laa-tauh-za-noo                                                                                   Wa-un-to-mool-au-lao-na-in-koon-toom-moe-may-nee-n

And you do not get soft. And you do not grieve.                                                          And you will be winners if you have been believers.

• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but;  also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
• لَا — Laa — Do not (= Absolute denial; never; no; not at all; total negation)
• تَهِنُوۡا — Ta-hay-noo — You get soft (= v., pres., pl., 2^nd person. Act fearful. Become awed, daunted, frightened, halfhearted, intimidated or of weak heart. Get soft. Loose heart or nerves. Overcome by fear. Quail. Show cowardice. Slacken. Slow down. Turn faint. Weaken)
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
• لَا — Laa — Do not (= Absolute denial; never; not at all; total negation)
• تَحۡزَنُوۡا — Tauh-za-noo — You Grieve (= v., pres., pl., 2^nd person., Experience sorry or worry due to what evokes regret and remorse; put to grief, regret or remorseful situation. A/t/a, ‘be sad;’ feel ‘sorrow;’ ‘fall into despair;’  ‘despair’ )
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• اَنۡ — Un — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; positively; verily)
•  تُمُ — To-moo…(l) — You (= pro., pl., m., 2^nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan states this way when addressing both men and women jointly)
• الۡاَعۡلَوۡنَ — Au-lao-na — Winners (= n., pl., Achievers; conquerors; prevalent; successful; triumphant; victorious; winners; with upper hands. Become the exalted and the highest. A/t/a, ‘gain mastery;’  ‘will overcome;’ ‘shall triumph;’  ‘are the superior;’  ‘will be superior (in victory)’
• اِنۡ — In — If (= In case; under the circumstances; when; whenever)
• كُنۡتُمۡ — Koon-toom — You have been (= pro., pl., m., 2^nd person. You. The Holy Qor-aan states this way when addressing both men and women jointly)
• مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ — Mo-may-nee-n — Believers (= n,. Adherents of Islam; those who enter the Faith, believe and follow the Holy Qor-aan, the Islaam and become Moslems. Men of faith. The faithful. A/t/a, ‘continue firm in the faith;’  ‘true believers;’ ‘true in Faith’)
