The Holy Qor-aan 003:192
الَّذِيۡنَ يَذۡكُرُوۡنَ اللّٰهَ قِيَامًا وَّقُعُوۡدًا وَّعَلٰى جُنُوۡبِهِمۡ وَيَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ فِىۡ خَلۡقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقۡتَ هٰذَا بَاطِلًا ۚ سُبۡحٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Ul-la-ze-na-yuz-ko-roo-nul-laa-ha Qay-yaa-mun-wa-qo-oo-dun-wa-alaa-jo-noo-bay-him Wa-ya-ta-fuk-ka-roo-na-fee-khul-qis-sa-maa-waa-tay-wul-ur-dzay Rub-ba-naa-maa-kha-luq-ta-haa-zaa-baa-tay-laa Soob-haa-ka-fa-qay-naa-azaa-bun-naa-r
Those who remember Allah Standing and sitting and on their sides And they reflect over the creation of heavens and earth. God of us all! You have not created all this in vain. Holiness is Yours. So please save us from the torment of Fire.
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those in masculine gender that include all articles, things, persons, phenomenon. A/t/a, ‘Such as’ )
- يَذۡكُرُوۡنَ — Yuz-ko-roo-na — Remember (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. They attend, bear in mind, celebrate, extol, heed, think … See Note 002:153. A/t/a, ‘celebrate the praises of’ and ‘praise God’)
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
The following 6 words are the same as in verse 004:103
- قِيَامًا — Qay-yaa-mun — Standing (= Erect; established; firm; fixed; lasting; settled. The terms standing, sitting or lying down cover every position of a human being in any and all acts of life)
- وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- قُعُوۡدًا — Qo-oo-dun — Sitting (= Lasting; safe, settled and unmoving position. See قِيَامًا above)
- وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- عَلٰى — Alaa — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon.)
- جُنُوۡبِ — Jo-noo-bay — Sides (= n., Flanks. Refers to the position of resting or going to sleep or arising after sleep. A/t/a, ‘lying down on their sides,’ ‘lying on their sides,’ and ‘reclining.’ See قِيَامًا above)
- هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to aforesaid people who remember Allah day and night, at all hours of the day)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- يَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ — Ya-ta-fuk-ka-roo-na — Reflect (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Brood; consider; contemplate; deliberate; mull; muse; ponder; think about or over; wonder about. A/t/a ‘contemplate (the wonders),’ ‘think deeply, ‘ ‘which impels them to supplicate’)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= About; concerning; in reference, regarding; relative to. Also, amidst; among. A/t/a, ‘upon’ and ‘over’)
- خَلۡقِ — Khul-q…(iss) — Creation (= n., A fabrication, formation, innovation or production with a face, form and shape and perfect proportions. Brought into being. Conceived and initiated with the mystery of creation. Designed or fashioned from a total scratch. Something made out of nothing before)
- السَّمٰوٰتِ — Sa-maa-waa-tay — The heavens (= Clouds; all above ground or earth; skies)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- الۡاَرۡضِ — Ul-ur-dzay — Earth (= Area; country; earth; ground; land; territory. Also, life on earth, nation; people or society in general)
- رَبَّ — Rub-ba — God (= Praying ..'(With the thought)’ [aya], (‘and say)’ [mmp]. The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. See 002:287)
- نَآ — Naa — All of us (= pro., pl., 1st person. We / Us)
- مَاۤ — Maa — Not (= Absolutely not; no; never. A/t/a ‘Thou hadst not’ and ‘not for naught hast Thou’)
- خَلَقۡتَ — Kha-luq-ta — You created (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Brought into being; created in due and appropriate proportion; designed from scratch and out of nothing; gave form and faces; produced; shaped. A/t/a, everything fashioned with the mystery of the creation). A/t/a, ‘Thou createdst’)
- هٰذَا — Haa-zaa — This (= This particularly pointed out thing; present right here; this thing right in front. A/t/a, ‘this universe‘)
- بَاطِلًا — Baa-tay-laa — False (= Adj., frivolously; in vain; without purpose)
- سُبۡحٰنَ — Soob-haa-na — Holiness (= adj., Being holy. Beyond earthly sentimentality. Exalted above. Glorious. Holiness. Praiseworthy. Without any blemish. A/t/a, ‘Exalted are You above all they associate with You as partners,’ ‘glory to thee,’ ‘Glory be to Thee!, ‘ ‘glory be to You’ and ‘Holy art Thou’)
- كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message is initially the Holy Prophet s.a.w. and secondarily every Moslem, in fact every human being. See the Note under 002:005)
- فَقِنَا — Fa-qay-naa — So save us (= This one word could be a combination of three words. The 1st فَ (= fa) meaning ‘hence, so, then, thus’ etc. The 2nd قِ (= qay) meaning ‘protect, save, shelter’ etc. The 3rd نَآ(= naa) plura meaning ‘all of us, us all, we.’ A/t/a, ‘save us then,’ ‘give us salvation,’ ‘Preserve us’ and ‘shield us then’)
- عَذَابَ — Azaa-ba…(un) — Punishment (= Appropriate, due and fair agony, chastisement, doom, harsh measure, penalty, recompense; torment, torture or scourge)
- ٱلنَّارِ — Naa-r — The Fire (= Rapid sustained chemical reaction releasing heat and light. Also, a source for light and heat. A/t/a, ‘Hell-fire’)
