The Holy Qor-aan 003:198
مَتَاعٌ قَلِيۡلٌ ثُمَّ مَاۡوٰٮهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُ ؕ وَ بِئۡسَ الۡمِهَادُ
Ma-taa-oon-qa-leel-thoom-ma-mau-waa-hoom-ja-hun-num-wa-bae-sul-may-haa-d
A small comfort. Then hell is their home. And an evil ultimate abode
- مَتَاعٌ — Ma-taa-oon — Comfort (= n., Provisions like food, clothing, residence and all things of convenience, living and maintenance. Benefits, bounties, shelter, sustenance and valuables. Events, places or opportunities of enjoyment, breaks, maintenance. reprieves, respite, stay, use and worldly assets. A/t/a, ‘small and brief advantage,’ ‘It is a small and temporary advantage,’ ‘(It is) a brief provision,’ ‘A brief enjoyment,’ ‘Little is it for enjoyment,’ ‘prosperity’ and ‘respite’)
- قَلِيۡلٌ — Qa-leel — Small (= Adj., A bit, brief, little, less, low, short, small or tiny in number, quality, quantity or time; miserably low; paltry. Fewer, lesser, comparatively insignificant)
- ثُمَّ — Thoom-ma — Then (= After that; further more; subsequently; thereafter. A/t/a, ‘afterward’)
- مَاۡوٰى — Mau-waa — Home (= n., Temporary residence, dwelling, habitation, home or housing. A/t/a, ‘ultimate abode’)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to the said disbelievers )
- جَهَنَّمَ — Ja-hunna-ma — Hell (= Blazing Fire. Purgatory; Gehenna; hell-fire. Also the hellish life in this world)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon. A/t/a, ‘What an’ and ‘Worst indeed’)
- بِئۡسَ — Bae-sa..(ul) — Evil (= Adj; bad; dismal; hapless; ill-fated; luckless; miserable; undesirable; unlucky; unfortunate; unpleasant; vile; worst possible; wretched. A/t/a, ‘ill abode’)
- الۡمِهَادُ — May-haa-d — Abode (= n., Dwelling; destination; end of a line, journey, road or travel; place to rest; rest stop; resting place; ultimate abode or destined stop. Also, home for the wrongdoers. A/t/a,’Place for rest,’ ‘an evil bed (To lie on)!’ and ‘resting place. It also means bed, canopy, cot, cradle; crib; spread)
