The Holy Qor-aan 004:039
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَهُمۡ رِئَآءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَلَا بِالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِؕ وَمَنۡ يَّكُنِ الشَّيۡطٰنُ لَهٗ قَرِيۡنًا فَسَآءَ قَرِيۡنًا
Wul-la-ze-na-yoon-fay-qoo-na-um-waa-la-hoom-ray-aa-un-naa-say Wa-laa-yoe-may-noo-na-bil-laa-hay-wa-laa-bil-yao-mil-aa-khay-ray Wa-mun-ya-ko-nish-shai-taa-no-la-hoo-qa-re-nun-fa-saa-aa-a-re-naa
And those who spend their assets to show off to people And do not believe in Allah and not in the Later Day And whoever has been Satan a friend for him has a bad friend

- اَمۡوَالَ — Um-waa-la — Assets (= n., pl., Affluence; gains; goods; money; property; possessions; riches; wealth; resources; substance; valuables; Ostensible means and signs of all above. Also, Contacts, influences, resources and valuables. See 002:265. A/t/a, ‘substances’)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to aforesaid spenders)
- رِئَآءَ — Ray-aa…(un) — Show off (= n., Affectation; artifice; demonstration; display; ploy; exhibit; flamboyance; for only the eyes of the people; illusionary; just to be seen; make-belief; ostentation; pretension; put up; showiness; brazenness; view. A/t/a, ‘in order to be seen,’ ‘to be seen,’ ‘for the sake of ostentation’ and ‘for public show’)
- النَّاس — Un-naa-say — The people (= n., Factions; folks, mankind, groups, men, nations or tribes. Human beings. A/t/a, ‘public’)

Since the word الۡيَوۡم means ‘day’ and الۡاٰخِرِ means ‘Hereafter’, ‘yet to come’, joined together the phrase الۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ means The End Day, The Judgment Day; The Resurrection. Many authors have translated word as the ‘Last’)
