The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                004:059

 

  اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَاۡمُرُكُمۡ اَنۡ تُؤَدُّوا الۡاَمٰنٰتِ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهَا ۙ وَاِذَا حَكَمۡتُمۡ بَيۡنَ النَّاسِ اَنۡ تَحۡكُمُوۡا بِالۡعَدۡلِ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُمۡ بِهٖ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ سَمِيۡعًۢا بَصِيۡرًا  

 

In-na  ul-laa-ha  yau-mo-ro  koom  un                                                                                          To-waud-do  ol-aa-maa-naa-tay  aiy-laa  ah-lay  haa                                                                  Wa  ezaa  ha-kaum  toom  bai-na  un-naa-say  un  tauh-ko-moo  bay  il-ud-lay                    In-na  ul-laa-ha  nay-im-maa  ya-aiy-zo  koom  bay  he                                                            In-na  nul-laa-ha  kaa-na  sa-me-un  ba-se-raa

 

Allah certainly orders you that                                                                                          You turn over the trusts to those deserving.                                                                  And when you decide among people that you decide with justice.                            Allah is indeed excellent with what He admonishes you.                                            Surely Allah has always been the Hearer, the Seer.

 

  • اِنَّ — In-na … (ul) — Certainly (= Absolutely; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed;    positively; really; seriously; surely; truly; verily)
  • ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • يَاۡ مُرُ — Yau-mo-ro — He orders (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Admonishes; bids; commands;  dictates; directs; enjoins; exhorts; imposes; instructs; lays down as law; mandates; rules; sets as law; teaches. A/t/a, ‘doth command’ and ‘commandeth.’ More meanings at the translation of verse 003:081)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You all men. Generally this way the Holy Qor-aan addresses both men and women)
  • اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that)
  • تُؤَدُّوا — To-waud-do … (ol) — You turn over (= v., pres., m & f., pl., 2nd person. Deliver; give; pass on; return. A/t/a, ‘make over,’ ‘give over,’ ‘hand back,’ ‘render back’ and ‘restore’)
  • الۡاَمٰنٰتِ — Aa-maa-naa-tay — The trusts (= n., pl., Property or things that belong to others but are left in another person’s charge, care, custody, deposit, entrustment, protection or responsibility. A/t/a, ‘the trusts,’ ‘the trusts (such as the affairs of the state),’ ‘your trusts’ and ‘deposits’)
  • اِلٰٓى — Aiy-laa — To (= Towards; unto)
  • اَهۡلِ — Ah-lay — Deserving (= n., Those who can do the duty, job or task properly. Those who are capable, entitled, masters or worthy. A/t/a, ‘those worthy of them,’ ‘those best fitted to discharge them,’ ‘those who are competent to it,’ ‘those to whom they are due,’ ‘those to whom they belong,’ ‘owners’ and ‘rightful owners’)
  • هَا — Haa — Their (= pro., s., f., 3rd person., Refers to aforesaid group)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • اِذَاۤ — Ezaa — When (= Any time or event; at all times; in all places and situations; on every occasion; whenever. A/t/a, ‘if’)
  • حَكَمۡ — Ha-kum — Decide (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Adjudicate; adjudge; arbitrate;  decide; do the balancing act among two or more conflicting interests; judge; settle. A/t/a, ‘ye judge’ and ‘you judge.’ See تَحۡكُمُوۡا   below) )
  • تُمۡ — Toom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. See كُمۡ  above) )
  • بَيۡنَ — Bai-na … (un) — Among (= Between; betwixt; facing; in front of)
  • النَّاسِ — Un-naa-say — The people (= n., pl., Claimants; contestants; disputants; factions;  folks, groups, litigants; mankind, men, nations or tribes. A/t/a, ‘men’ and ‘man and man’)
  • اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that)
  • تَحۡكُمُوۡا — Tauh-ko-moo — You decide (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Adjudge; adjudicate; arbitrate; do balancing among two or more conflicting interests; do justice; judge; measure; perform as a referee; render services as an umpire; weigh equitably, fairly, justly and properly. See also 005:009. A/t/a, ‘ye judge,’ ‘you judge,’ ‘pass judgments’ and ‘you do it’)
  • بِ  — Bay .. (il) — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with)
  • الۡعَدۡلِ — Ud-lay — Justice (= n., Balanced; fair; equitable; just; proper. The prior  بِ made  this word an adverb by adding to its meanings the concept of something that was also done appropriately, equitably, fairly, justly, properly and suitably)
  • اِنّ — In-na … (ul) — Indeed (= Definitely; truly. See  اِنَّ  above. A/t/a, ‘Lo!’)
  • ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • نِعِمَّا — Nay-im-ma — Excellent (= adj., The best, comely and excellent exhortation. A/t/a, ‘Excellent indeed is that,’ ‘what is excellent,’ ‘how excellent is the teaching,’ ‘excellent is that with which,’ ‘comely is this,’ ‘is best indeed’ and ‘noble is’)
  • يَعِظُ — Ya-aiy-zo — He admonishes (= v., pres., s., 3rd person Advises, commands, directs, gives, exhorts, guides, instructs, helps, lays out, lays down, mandates, orders, preaches, prescribes, recommends, shows, tells or urges administratively or                   authoritatively as to what is the correct course, linier lines, proper path or right road)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You. See كُمۡ  above)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with)
  • هٖ — He — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid direction)
  • اِنَّ — In-na … (ul) — Indeed (= Definitely; truly. See  اِنَّ  above. A/t/a, ‘for’)
  • ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God
  • كَانَ — Kaa-na — He has been (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; had been;  used to; were, went on doing. Indicates the act’s continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. ‘Always been’ is the form which expresses an endless continuation of the act. A/t/a, ‘is’)
  • سَمِيۡعًۢا — Sa-me-un — The Hearer  (= n., superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most and highlights that none hears more than Him. All-Hearing. Most Hearing. The Hearer. The One Who never misses hearing anything. Who hears all, entirely, surely, totally, truly and wholly. Who hears all people all the time and very well. See 001:001. A/t/a, The Hearer Who hears all people all the time and very well. ‘He Who hearth,’ ‘ever Hearing,’ ‘Ever All-Hearing,’ ‘ever Hearer,’ ‘He hears all’ and ‘All-Hearing’)
  • بَصِيۡرًا — Ba-se-raa — The Seer (= n., superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most and highlights that none sees more than Him. All-seeing. Mindful. Observer. One who sees well and takes cognizance. Overseer. Seer. Watch. Watchful. Who sees all things all the time and full well. See 001:001. A/t/a ‘ seeth all things,’ ‘Seeing,’ ‘Seer’ and ‘He observes all’)
