The Holy Qor-aan 004:065
وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا لِـيُـطَاعَ بِاِذۡنِ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَلَوۡ اَنَّهُمۡ اِذْ ظَّلَمُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ جَآءُوۡكَ فَاسۡتَغۡفَرُوا اللّٰهَ وَاسۡتَغۡفَرَ لَـهُمُ الرَّسُوۡلُ لَوَجَدُوا اللّٰهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيۡمًا
Wa-maa-ur-sul-naa-min-ra-soo-lin Il-laa-lay-yo-taa-aa-bay-iz-nil-laa-hay Wa-lao-un-na-hoom-iz-za-la-moo-un-o-sa-hoom-jaa-oo-ka Fus-tugh-fa-rool-laa-ha-wus-tugh-fa-ra-la-ho-moor-ra-soo-la La-wa-ja-dool-laa-ha-tuw-waa-bur-ra-he-maa
And We never sent among messengers any Except for being followed with Allah’s leave. And if surely when they wronged themselves came to you And then sought forgiveness of Allah And the Messenger sought forgiveness for them They surely would have found Allah Utmost Forgiving, Utmost Merciful

- نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
- مِنۡ — Min….(r) — Among (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
- رَّسُوۡلٍ — Ra-soo-lin — Messenger (= s., Apostles; God’s messengers; prophets; sages; saints)
- اِلَّا — Il-laa — Except (= Apart from; but; besides; excluding; save; unless. A/t/a, ‘but that’)
- لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, purpose or reason of; intended for; on account of; regarding; relative to. Also, to)
- يُـطَاعَ — Yo-taa-aa — Being followed (= v., pres., pass., s., 3rd person. Do as bid; obeyed. A/t/a, ‘should be obeyed’ and ‘men should do their bidding’)
- بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ means with. A/t/a, as per; ‘by’; pursuant to; ‘in accordance with’)
- اِذۡنِ — Iz-n(il) — Leave (= n., Allowance; approval; command; decree; decision; design; dictate; direction; grace; grant; leave; order; permission; plan; scheme of things; Will)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- لَوۡ — Lao — If (= In case; under the circumstances; wish; would)
- اَ نَّ — Un-na — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; positively; verily)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — They (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Them; their; theirs)
- اِذْ — Iz — When (= Any time or event. Behold, call to mind, recall, ponder, reflect; remember or think of the time, event, occasion, opportunity; whenever)
- ظَلَمُوۡا — Zaa-la-moo — Wronged (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Acted badly. Behaved wickedly. Caused evil. Committed crimes or cruelty. Did injustice. Harmed. Maltreated. Shortened. Transgressed. Treated improperly or unjustly. Violated rights of others. A/t/a, ‘they were unjust’ and ‘they had acted contrary to their own interests’)
- اَنۡفُسَ — Un-fo-sa — Selves (= n., pl., Hearts; individuals; minds; own sake; persons; souls. Also, brethren; countrymen; followers; folks, kinsman; nation; people; tribes. A/t/a, ‘souls’)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Them; their; theirs)
- جَآءُو — Jaa-oo — Came (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Arrived; reached; returned. Also, the word can mean achieved, brought, delivered, settled, sought or succeeded)
- كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message is initially the Holy Prophet s.a.w and secondarily every Moslem, in fact every human being. See the Note under 002:005)
- فَ — Fa…(us) — Then / And (= Consequently, finally, hence, in conclusion, resultantly so, thereafter, therefore or thus)
- اسۡتَغۡفَرُوا — Us-tugh-fa-roo — Sought forgiveness (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Asked, begged, desired, prayed, pursued, repented, requested, sought or tried for forgiveness and excuse. A/t/a, ‘asked forgiveness,’ ‘prayed for forgiveness,’ ‘sought the protection of’ and ‘imploring pardon’)
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)

- اسۡتَغۡفَرَ — Us-tugh-fa-ra — Sought forgiveness (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Asked, begged, desired, prayed for, pursued, requested, sought or tried for forgiveness, repentance or being excused. A/t/a, ‘had (also) asked forgiveness,’ ‘also had asked forgiveness,’ ‘(also) sought protection’)’ and ‘sought forgiveness.’ But ‘asked forgiveness of the messenger’ [M Marmaduke Pickthall] is not a translation of the text in the Holy Qor-aan)

- الرَّسُوۡلُ — Ra-soo-lo — The Messenger (= n., s., Apostle; God’s messenger; prophet. A/t/a, ‘this perfect Messenger’)
- لَ — La — Surely (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; certainly; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; verily)
- وَجَدُوا — Wa-ja-doo — They found (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Came upon; discovered, noticed; found, realized; saw. A/t/a, ‘they would have surely found’)
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- تَوَّابًا — Tuw-waa-ba(ur) — Utmost Forgiving (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest and highlights that none more than Him is ready to turn in compassion and mercy to accept the regret, remorse and repentance of man. Forgives man who admits faults, guilt or sins. Compassionately turns the most. Forgiving. Relenting. Oft-Returning. Very Forgiving. . See 002:038. - رَّحِيۡمًا — Ra-he-maa — Utmost Merciful (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him shows mercy again and again, continually, incessantly and indefinitely like endlessly and perpetually incoming waves from the oceans. Merciful Forever. Very, very Merciful)
