Wa-mun-yo-tay-il-laa-ha-wur-ra-soo-la-fa-o-la-aiy-ka                                                              Ma-ul-la-zee-na-un-aa-mool-laa-ho-alai-him                                                                              May-nun-na-be-ye-na-wus-sid-de-qee-na                                                                                    Wush-sho-ha-daa-aiy-wus-sua-lay-he-na                                                                                        Wa-ha-so-na-ola-aiy-ka-ra-fe-qaa

** Note 004:070: The word Shohadaa (الشُّهَدَآءِ  ) is the plural and its singular is Shaheedشَهِيۡد  ).  Shaheedشَهِيۡد ) in the singular means the adducer of proof, producer of corroboration or bearer, giver or provider of evidence or testimony. He is the attester, observer, onlooker, testifier, watcher or witness who witnessed the event. He supports the version offered because he had seen, heard and observed what had happened. His account as the eye-witness vouches for the Truth of events or facts that he experienced. His averment is not a hearsay or less credible for being that someone else or a third party saw.  See also other verses like 003:141, 003:099, 004:034, 004:042, 004:080, etc.

But some authors have translated these words only as martyrs or warriors who laid their lives in Holy Wars or Jihad supporting causes of religion. Such militia-minded translations may have contributed to some sects adding Jihad as the mandatory 6th worship or Pillars Of Islam.
