The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                         004:071

ذٰ لِكَ الۡـفَضۡلُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ‌ ؕ وَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ عَلِيۡمًا ‏ 

Wa-kul-fuz-lo-may-nul-laa-hay-wa-kafa-bil-laa-hay-alee-maa 

This is a blessing from Allah. And Allah has sufficed as All-Knowing

 

  • ذٰلِكَ — Zaa-lay-ka..(ul) — This (= Here; refers to an aforesaid fact, person or statement; it was because; right here; such is this; that is how it is. A/t/a, ‘such is’)
  • الۡـفَضۡلُ —  Fuz-lo — Blessing (= n,, s., Abundant grace; benevolence; bounty ; generosity; goodness; grace; grant; greatest gift; kindness; plenteousness. A/t/a, ‘grace…(if such companions are available).’ See Note below)
  • مِنَ — May-na(ul) — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
  • كَفٰى — Ka-faa — Has sufficed (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Has been adequate, ample; appropriate, enough, plenteous, proper, satisfactory,  sufficient, suitable or fully capable and in control. A/t/a, ‘Allah sufficeth,’ ‘is,’ suffices’ and ‘He well  knows how to reward you’ are translations as a verb in the present tense when the Holy Qor-aan has used it in the past tense)
  • بِ — B..(il) — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • عَلِيۡمًا — Alee-maa — All-Knowing (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him has full  awareness, cognizance, information and knowledge.  Various translations combine different words to state  God’s finality, mastery and totality of having all info, perfect knowledge and being Cognizant, Mindful, Most Knowledgeable, Well-Acquainted, Well-Aware. A/t/a,  ‘All-Comprehending,’ ‘Knower,’ ‘knoweth all,’ ‘One Who is All Knowing,’ ‘Who knows’ and   ‘He well knows’[njd])

 

** Note 004:071. This word is a noun derivate from the root  ف   ض  ل    that means all of the following. Awarding, bestowing, conferring, donating, giving, granting, gifting or rewarding of abundant, exalted, greatest, liberal and plenteous affluence, benefits, benevolence, blessing, bounty, generosity, goodness, grace, kindness, peace, preference, prosperity and tranquility
