The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                     004:077

 

اَلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا يُقَاتِلُوۡنَ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ‌‌ ۚ  وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا يُقَاتِلُوۡنَ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ الطَّاغُوۡتِ فَقَاتِلُوۡۤا اَوۡلِيَآءَ الشَّيۡطٰنِ‌ ۚ اِنَّ كَيۡدَ الشَّيۡطٰنِ كَانَ ضَعِيۡفًا

 

Ul-la-zee-na-aa-ma-noo-yo-qaa-tay-loo-na-fee-sa-bee-lil-laa-hay                                          Wul-la-zee-na-ka-fa-roo-yo-qaa-tay-loo-na-fee-sa-bee-lit-taa-ghoo-tay                                Fa-qaa-tay-loo-auo-lay-yaa-ush-shai-taa-n                                                                                  In-na-kai-dush-shai-taa-nay-kaa-na-dza-ee-faa

 

Those who believed fight in the cause of Allah.                                                                And those who disbelieved fight in the cause of the Devil.                                          So you fight the friends of Satan.                                                                                          Surely the scheming of Satan has always been week.  

 

  • ٱلَّذِينَ — Ula-zee-na — Those who (= m., pl., Refers to ‘all those men’)
  • اٰمَنُوۡا — Aa-ma-noo — Believed (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Believed in the Holy Qor-aan, became Moslems and entered in the Faith of Isslaam —  See Commentaries Islam – 101 and Belief & Disbelieve . A/t/a, ‘believers’ or ‘who believe’ are not the translations of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb in the past tense. See also 004:061)
  • يُقَا تِلُوۡنَ — Yo-qaa-tay-loo-na — They fight (= v., pres., m., pl.,2nd person. Act in self-defense; attack and fight back; oppose; push; resist; retaliate; strive; struggle. Also, battle; combat; war. More details in the Commentary Mullah’s Jihad is no road to Peace. A/t/a, ‘they battle’)
  • فِىۡ  — Fee — In (= In; concerning; regarding; in reference; relative to. Also, amidst, during or inside a time, place or event)
  • سَبِيۡلِ — Sa-bee-l … (il) — Cause (= n., s., Action; alternative; cause, course; escape; line;  means; measure; method; path; pretext; remedy; road; way. See Note 004:089  & Phrase fee-sa-be-lil-laa-hay. A/t/a, ‘Cause’ and ‘way’)
  • اللّٰهِ‌ –(i) Laa-hay..(il) — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • ٱلَّذِينَ — Ula-zee-na — Those who (= Reference is to ‘all those men’)
  • كَفَرُوۡا — Ka-fa-roo — Disbelieved (= v., past, m., pl., 3rd person. Denied, refused and rejected the Faith and belief in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan, Islam and become Moslem. A/t/a, ‘infidels,’ ‘who disbelieve,’ ‘those who reject faith’ and ‘choose disbelief’ are not the translations of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb in the past tense )
  • يُقَا تِلُوۡنَ — Yo-qaa-tay-loo-na — They fight (= v., pres., m., pl., 2nd person. Act in self-defense; attack push back; oppose; resist; retaliate. See يُقَا تِلُوۡنَ  above)
  • فِىۡ  — Fee — In (= Concerning; during; for; in reference to; regarding; relative to. See فِىۡ above)
  • سَبِيۡلِ — Sa-bee-l…(it) — Cause (= Line; path; road; way; for the sake of. A/t/a, ‘in the cause of’)
  • الطَّاغُوۡتِ — Taa-ghoo-tay — The Devil (= n., Bad, false or evil deities or leaders; Evil; idols, idol worshipers; Satan; the devil. A/t/a, ‘the ‘Evil One’ and ‘transgressor’)
  • فَ — Fa — So (= Consequently; resultantly; then; thereafter; therefore)
  • قَا تِلُوۡۤا — Qaa-tay-loo — You fight (= v., pres., m., pl., 2nd person. Act in self-defense; attack; push back; oppose; resist; retaliate. See يُقَا تِلُوۡنَ  above. A/t/a, ‘fight against,’ ‘Fight ye …. against’ and ‘Fight … against’)
  • أَوۡلِيَآءَ — Auo-lay-yaa..(ush) — Friends (= n., pl., Aides; assistants; associates; friends;  guardians; helpers; minions; patrons; pawns; protectors; supporters)
  • ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنِ — Shai-taa-nay — The Satan (= Bad, false or evil deities or leaders; idol worshipers; The Devil. A/t/a, ‘The Evil’)
  • اِنَّ — In-na — Surely (= Certainly; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; verily. A/t/a, ‘Lo!)
  • كَيۡدَ — Kai-d…(ush) — Scheming (= n., Astuteness; cleverness; craftiness; cunning; design; evil planning; guile; machination; methodology; plot; slyness; strategy; struggle; treachery. A/t/a, ‘stratagem’)
  • ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنِ — Shai-taa-nay — The Satan (= Bad, false or evil deities or leaders; idol worshipers. The Devil)
  • كَانَ — Kaa-na — Has been (= v., past, s., 3rd person. Refers to all that scheming has been in the past, is today and will in the future go on happening))
  • ضَعِيفاْ — Dza-ee-faa — Weak (= adj., Feeble; fragile; frail; ineffective; infirm; limp; not strong; scrawny; shaky; vulnerable; weedy. Also, drained, enervated; faint; exhausted. A/t/a, ‘ever weak,’ ‘weak’ and ‘ever feeble’)
