The Holy Qor-aan 004:080
مَاۤ اَصَابَكَ مِنۡ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللّٰهِ وَمَاۤ اَصَابَكَ مِنۡ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِنۡ نَّـفۡسِكَ ؕ وَاَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُوۡلًا ؕ وَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ شَهِيۡدًا
Maa-asaa-ba-ka-min-ha-sa-na-tin-fa-may-nul-laa-hay Wa-maa-asaa-ba-ka-min-suy-yay-aa-tin-fa-min-nuf-say-ka Wa-ur-sul-naa-ka-lin-naa-say-ra-soo-laa Wa-ka-faa-bil-laa-hay-sha-hee-daa
Whatever good reached you was from Allah And whatever evil struck you was from your own self And We have sent you to the people as a Messenger And Allah has sufficed as a witness
- مَاۤ — Maa — Whatever (= All that; whatever; whatsoever)
- اَصَابَ — Aa-saa-ba — Reached (= v., past., m., s., 3rd person. Affected; arrived; befallen; befell; came to; fell on; hit; landed on; overcame; overtook; reached; smut; struck; suffered by; struck; touched; was delivered. A/t/a, ‘befalls,’ ‘befalleth,’ ‘happens to,’ ‘comes to’ and ‘reaches’ but such translation of a verb is in the present tense of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
- كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. See also the Note under 002:005. A/t/a ‘(O man) … thee.’ ‘thee (O man),’ ‘thee,’ ‘you, man’ and ‘you (O people)’
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several
- حَسَنَةٍ — Ha-sa-na-tin — Good (= n., Achievement; anything good; best of the things in the best of the forms; blessing; good fortune; success; goodness; lucky break; lucky chance)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this, at the end, consequently, finally, hence, in conclusion; so, thereafter, therefore or thus)
- مِنَ — May-na…(ul) — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- مَاۤ — Maa — Whatever (= All that; what; whatever; whatsoever)
- اَصَابَ — Aa-saa-ba — Struck (= v., past., m., s., 3rd person. Affected; arrived. See اَ صَا بَ above)
- كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. See كَ above)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several
- سَيِّئَةٍ — Suy-yay-aa-tin — Bad thing (= n., s., Bad thing, evil, crime; error; ill, illegality, misdeed, misfortune, mistake, occurrence or wrong done accidentally or forgetfully without much premeditated intention. Generally used for a single unintended accidental occurrence. ** See the Note below)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this, at the end, consequently. See فَ above)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several
- نَّـفۡسِ — Nuf-say — Self (= n., Person; soul. A/t/a, ‘thy (own) soul,’ ‘from thyself,’ ‘your ownselves,’ ‘yourself’ and ‘is of your own earning’)
- كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. See كَ above)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- اَرۡسَل — Ur-sul — Have sent (= v., past., 1st person. Appointed; deputed; deputized; dispatched; sent)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., m & g., pl., 1st person. Our; We. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
- كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. A/t/a, ‘Thee (Muhammad).’
- لِ — L(in) — For (= Because of; concerning; due to; for the object, purpose or reason of; intended for; on account of; regarding; relative to. A/t/a, belonging to; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘To (instruct)’ and ‘for the good of’)
- لنَّاسِ — Naa-say — The people (= Factions; folks, mankind, groups of men, nations or tribes. Human beings A/t/a, ‘all mankind’)
- رَسُوۡلًا — Ra-soo-laa — Messenger (= n., s., Apostle; God’s messenger; prophet; sage; saint)

- كَفٰى — Ka-faa — Has sufficed (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Has been adequate, ample; appropriate, enough, plenteous, proper, satisfactory, sufficient, suitable or fully capable and in control. A/t/a, ‘enough is,’ is ‘sufficient’ and ‘your all-sufficient’ are translations as a noun and also ‘suffices’ as a verb in the present tense, but none of them are of what the Holy Qor-aan has described as a verb in the past tense)

- شَهِيۡدًا — Sha-hee-da — Witness (= n., s., Attester, observer, onlooker, testifier, verifier, watch, watcher or witness. Adducer of proof. Bearer, giver or provider of evidence or testimony. Producer of corroboration. Also, a helper, seer or supporter. ** See Note to 004:070)
** Note oo4:080. One author has clearly distinguished the two different meanings of the same one pronoun كَ by translating كَ in اَصَابَكَ as ‘you (O people)’ and then the same كَ in اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ as ‘you (O Muhammad).’
