The Holy Qor-aan 004:081
مَنۡ يُّطِعِ الرَّسُوۡلَ فَقَدۡ اَطَاعَ اللّٰهَ ۚ وَمَنۡ تَوَلّٰى فَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَفِيۡظًا ؕ
Mun-yo-tay-ir-ra-soo-la-fa-qud-ataa-ul-laa-ha Wa-mun-ta-wul-laa-fa Maa-ur-sul-naa-ka-alai-him-ha-fee-zaa
Whoever obeys the messenger has indeed obeyed Allah And whoever turned around must then know that We have not sent you as a guardian on them
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; whoever; who; whomever; whoso)
- يُّطِعِ — Yo-tay-(ir) — Obeys (= v., pres., m., s., 3rd person. Carries out instructions; follows the directions. See Commentary The Obedience. A/t/a, ‘obeys,’ ‘obeyeth’ and ‘the perfect Messenger’)
- الرَّسُوۡلَ — Ra-soo-la –The Prophet (= s., Apostle; God’s messenger; great prophet; sage; saint)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After this; hence; so; thus; therefore)
- قَدۡ — Qud — Indeed (= Surely. So very definitely. See our Note 004:049 and Commentary titled the 2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect)
- اَطَاعَ — Aa-taa..(ul) — Obeyed (= v., past., m., s., 3rd person. Carried out instructions; followed the directions. See Commentary The Obedience. A/t/a, ‘obeys’ and ‘obeyeth’ are translations as a verb in the present tense but contrary to what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb in the past tense)
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God. A/t/a, ‘Allah Himself”)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; who; whoever; whom; whomever; whoso)
- تَوَلّٰى — Ta-wul-laa — Turned around (= v., past, s., 3rd person., Acted inappropriately. Changed or went in a different, opposite or wrong direction. Took or turned from one way to another. See also Note 003:064. A/t/a, ‘turns away,’ ‘turn away,’ ‘turneth away’ and ‘pay no heed to you’ are translations as a verb in the present tense but contrary to what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb in the past tense)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After this; hence; so; thus; therefore)
- مَاۤ — Maa — Not (= Absolutely not; never; no; not at all)
- اَرۡسَلۡ — Ur-sul — Sent (= v., past., 1st person. Appointed; dispatched; deputed; empowered with the authority; raised; set up)
- نَآ — Naa — We / Us (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
- كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message is initially the Holy Prophet s.a.w and secondarily every Moslem. See the Note 002:005)
- عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon)
- هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to aforesaid people)
- حَفِيۡظًا — Ha-fee-zaa — As a guardian (= n., Protector; responsible; warden; watch. A/t/a, ‘keeper,’ ‘watcher,’ ‘To watch over … (evil deeds),’ ‘warder’ and ‘guardian … (so as o be held accountable for their actions)’
