The Holy Qor-aan 004:083
اَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُوۡنَ الۡقُرۡاٰن َؕ وَلَوۡ كَانَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ غَيۡرِاللّٰهِ لَوَجَدُوۡا فِيۡهِ اخۡتِلَافًا كَثِيۡرًا
Aa-fa-laa-ya-ta-dub-ba-roo-nul-qor-aan Wa-lao-kaa-na-min-in-day-ghai-ril-laa-hay La-wa-ja-doo-fee-hikh-tay-laa-fun-ka-thee-raa
Then why don’t they ponder over the Qor-aan? And if it was from anyone besides Allah Surely they would have found in it a lot of conflict
- اَ — Aa — Do (= Question mark like Are, Can, Have, Shell or Will?)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; finally; hence; in conclusion; resultantly; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
- لَا — Laa — Don’t (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception. A/t/a, ‘Do they not…?’ and ‘Will they not?’)
- يَتَدَبَّرُوۡنَ — Ya-ta-dub-ba-roo-na…(ul) — Ponder over (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Consider; reflect; think about. A/t/a ‘meditate on,’ ‘ponder on,’ ‘meditate upon,’ ‘consider … carefully’ and ‘reflect upon … (with care)’
- الۡقُرۡاٰنَ — Ul-Qor-aan — The Qor-aan (= n., The Holy Qor-aan; The sacred Book to be read again and again)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- لَوۡ — Lao — If (= In case; under the circumstances; wish; would)
- كَانَ — Kaa-na — It had been (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; had been; used to; were, went on doing. Indicates the continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. A/t/a, The phrase ‘Had it been’ indicates an endless continuation)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
- عِنۡدِ — In-day — From (= At; close at hand; from; in; in close proximity of; with. In the counting, esteem; estimate, eyes, front or near. Within the presence, precincts, seeing or sight of. A/t/a, ‘anyone’)
- غَيۡرِ — Ghai-r(il) — Other than (= Besides; else; excluding; not; other than; out of; without)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily)
- وَجَدُوا — Wa-ja-doo — They found (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Came upon; discovered, noticed; found; realized; saw. A/t/a, ‘they would have surely found’)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Inside a duration, event, place, period, person, etc. Also, about; concerning, etc. See Note at 002:028)
- هِ — Hay …(ikh) — It (= pro., s., m; 3rd person., thing or article stated earlier)
- اخۡتِلَافًا — Ikh-tay-laa-fun — Conflict (= n., Alteration; change; conflict; difference; disparity. A/t/a, ‘discrepancy,’ ‘incongruity,’ ‘disagreement,’ ‘contradiction,’ ‘contradictions,’ ‘inconsistency’ and ‘inconsistencies’)
