The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                            004:094

Wa-mun-yuq-tool-moe-may-nun-mo-ta-um-may-don                                                              Fa-ja-zaa-o-hoo-ja-hun-na-ma-khaa-lay-don-fee-haa                                                                Wa-gha-zay-bul-laa-ho-alai-ha-wa-la-aa-na-hoo                                                                          Wa-aa-ud-da-la-hoo-azaa-bun-aze-maa

And whoever kills a believer intentionally                                                                  Then his punishment is living in Hell                                                                              And Allah became angry at him and cursed him                                                              And prepared for him a great punishment

** Note 004:094. The translation of  جَزَآؤُ  (ja-zaa-o) depends on the context in which the Holy Qor-aan has used this word.

It is penalty, punishment, retribution or sentence and also consequence, result or follow up since the word expresses disgust, criticism and condemnation for evil acts like those referred to in the verses 002:192, 003:088, 005:034 and 078:027.

It is award, reward or trophy and also consequence, result or follow up since the word celebrates the appreciation, honor, joy or jubilation for good deeds like those referred to in the verses 003:137, 055:061 and 078:037.

Some authors have translated both above kinds as compensation, expiation, equivalent, recompense or requital.
