اِلَّا الۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِيۡنَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَآءِ وَالۡوِلۡدَانِ لَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ حِيۡلَةً وَّلَا يَهۡتَدُوۡنَ سَبِيۡلًا ۙ‏

 

Il-lul-moos-tudz-aa-fe-na-may-nur-ray-jaa-lay                                                                            Wun-nay-saa-aiy-wul-wil-daa-nay                                                                                                    Laa-yus-a-tee-oo-na-he-la-ton-wa                                                                                                Laa-yauh-ta-do-na-sa-bee-laa

 

Except the weak seeking help from among men                                                          And women and children who are                                                                                      Not able to find means and                                                                                              Not guided to find a way. 

 

  • اِلَّا — Il-la…(ul) — Except (= Apart from; but; besides; excluding; save; unless. A/t/a, ‘Different however is the case of’)
  • ٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ — Mos-tudz-aa-fee-na — Weak  (= n., pl., Broken down; demoralized; exploited; feeble; helpless; maltreated; oppressed; persecuted; those asking for, aspiring, insinuating, requesting, seeking or wanting help; weak in their familial, fiscal or social affairs. A/t/a, ‘who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed),’ ‘weak ones,’ ‘those (actually) weak’ and ‘those deemed weak’)
  •  مِنَ — May-na…(ur) — From (= Among or from the class, category or count of; out of)
  • ٱلرِّجَالِ — Ray-jaa-lay — Men (= n., pl., Male among the human beings. A/t/a ‘old men’)
  • وَ  Wa…(un) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally)
  • ٱلنِّسَآءِ — Nay-saa-aiy — Women (= n., Female among the human beings)
  • وَ  Wa…(ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • ٱلۡوِلۡدَٲنِ — Wil-daa-nay — Children (= n., pl., Kids of human)
  • لَا — Laa — Not (= None; no; not at all; total negation without exception)
  • يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ — Yus-ta-tee-oo-na — Able to find (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Have, control, own or possess the proper ability, capability, means, measure, strength or other wherewithal to do the needful. Also, have, control, own or possess the appropriate approval, authority, permission, power, sanction or warrant to do the needful. With the word لَا (laa) before it, the word means forbidden, restricted, restrained or unable to do what is necessary. A/t/a, ‘unable to,’ ‘incapable of devising,’  ‘incapable of adopting,’ ‘find no devise,’ ‘devise’ and ‘have’)
  • حِيۡلَةً — He-la-ton — Means (= n., Devise; excuse, justification; means; methodology; measures; plan; scheme. A/t/a ‘strength’)
  • وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • لَا — Laa — Not (= None; no; not at all; total negation without exception)
  • يَهۡتَدُوۡنَ — Yauh-ta-do-na — Guided (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Acquire the guidance and the know-how. A/t/a ‘can they find,’ ‘finding,’ ‘find,’ ‘are not shown’ and ‘able to direct’)
  • سَبِيۡلًا — Sa-bee-laa — Way (= n., s., Action; alternative; cause, course; escape; line;  means; measure; method; path; pretext; remedy; road; way. See Note 004:089  & Phrase fee-sa-be-lil-laa-hay.  A/t/a, ‘any way,’ ‘any way to escape,’ ‘a way to escape,’ ‘a way out,’ ‘means to escape’ and ‘their way’)
