Wa-aiy-nim-ra-aa-ton-khaa-fut-min-bau-lay-haa                                                                        No-shoo-zun-auo-aiy-raa-dzun-fa-laa-jo-naa-ha-alai-hay-maa                                                Un-yoos-lay-haa-bai-na-ho-maa-sool-hun-wus-sool-ho-khai-r                                                  Wa-oh-dzay-ra-til-un-fo-soosh-shoh-ha

And if a wife feared from her husband                                                                            Bad behavior or desertion then there is no sin on them two                                      That a peace is made between them. And peace is best.                                                And the souls have been raised with mean streak

And if you do kindness and be righteous then Allah                                                 Has always been Well-Informed of what you do

** Note: 004:129. The word  يُّصۡلِحَا  (= yoos-lay-haa) clearly indicates that both wife and husband are brought together by a third party which usually is some impartial arbiter.

The two conditions bad behavior and separation stated earlier lay down the foundation of why the spouses are not together. In such situations almost always the best is a third party’s action which is stated in the passive voice.

It is inaccurate to translate this word in the active voice as is done by some translators as if the spouses were to take this action.
