The Holy Qor-aan 004:137
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اٰمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ وَالۡكِتٰبِ الَّذِىۡ نَزَّلَ عَلٰى رَسُوۡلِهٖ وَالۡكِتٰبِ الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡزَلَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُؕ وَمَنۡ يَّكۡفُرۡ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَلٰٓٮِٕكَتِهٖ وَكُتُبِهٖ وَرُسُلِهٖ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ ضَلٰلًاۢ بَعِيۡدًا
Yaa-auy-yo-hul-la-zee-na-aa-ma-noo Aa-may-noo-bil-laa-hay-wa-ra-soo-lay-he Wul-kay-taa-bil-la-ze-nuz-za-la-alaa-ra-soo-lay-he Wul-kay-taa-bil-la-ze-un-za-la-min-qub-lo
Wa-mun-yuk-foor-bil-laa-hay-wa-ma-laa-aiy-ka-tay-he Wa-ko-to-bay-he-wa-ro-so-lay-he-wul-yao-mil-aa-khay-ray Fa-qud-dzul-la-dza-laa-lun-ba-ee-daa
Listen, you all who have believed! Believe in Allah and His messenger And the Book was sent down on His Messenger And the Book He sent down since before
And he who disbelieves in Allah and His angels And His books and His messengers and the Coming Day Has indeed strayed a straying gone very far
The Holy Qor-aan has used the Phrase Yaa-auy-yo-hul-la-zee-na-aa-ma-noo many times
- يٰۤ — Yaa — Listen (= Be attentive; hearken; pay attention; O!)
- اَيُّهَا — Auy-yo-ha(ul) — You all (= All addressees; entire audience; whole lot of listeners)
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Those articles, things or persons
- اٰمَنُوۡۤ — Aa-ma-noo — They Believed (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Believed in the Holy Qor-aan; became Moslems. Accepted, acknowledged, admitted or witnessed their entry in Iss-laam. - اٰمِنُوۡا — Aa-may-noo — Believe (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Believe in the Holy Qor-aan, Islaam and the Messenger Muhammad s.a.w. See Commentary BELIEVE and DISBELIEVE. A/t/a, ‘have firm faith,’ ‘Maintain faith,’ ‘have faith’)
- بِ — B …(il) — With (= Literally the word بِ means with. A/t/a, ‘in’)
- اللّٰهِ — La-hay — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- رَسُوۡلِ — Ra-soo-lay — Messenger (= n., pl., Apostle; prophet; sage; saint. A/t/a, ‘Messenger (Muhammad s.a.w)’
- هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- الۡكِتٰبِ — Kay-taa-b(il) — The Book (= Divine code; scripture. Most interpreters have maintained that here this word refers to the Holy Qor-aan. A/t/a, ‘perfect Book,’ ‘the Book (Qur’an),’ ‘the Book (the Qur’an)’ and ‘The Book’)
- الَّذِىۡ — La-zee — Which (= s., m., 3rd person article, thing or person; which)
- نَزَّلَ — Nuz-za-la — Was sent down (= v., pres., passive v., pl., 3rd person. Entrusted; gave; revealed; sent down in small portions at a time. A/t/a, ‘He hath sent’ and ‘He has sent down’ but such translations in the active voice are not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the passive voice)
- عَلٰى — Alaa — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon)
- رَسُوۡلِ — Ra-soo-lay — Messenger (= pl., Apostle; God’s messenger; prophet; sage; saint. A/t/a, ‘perfect Messenger’)
- هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- الۡكِتٰبِ — Kay-taa-b(il) — The Book (= Divine code; ‘Scriptures’ and ‘the Scripture’)

- يَّكۡفُرۡ — Yuk-foor — Disbelieves (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Denies; denounces; disavows; disbelieves; discards; disowns; fails to thank; is not grateful; refuses; rejects; renounces. See Commentary BELIEVE and DISBELIEVE. The reference to the context makes the word mean anyone who rejects the truth and belief in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan and Islam. A/t/a, ‘disbelieveth’)

- الۡاٰخِرِ — Aaa-khay-ray — Coming (= Coming; end; last; yet to come. Since the word الۡيَوۡم means day and الۡاٰخِرِ means Hereafter or yet to come, joined together they mean The End Day, The Judgment Day; The Resurrection)

- فَقَدۡ — Fa-qud — Has indeed (= So very definitely. See Note 004:049 and our Commentary titled the ‘2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect’. A/t/a ‘but,’ indeed’ and ‘is’)
- ضَلَّ — Dzul-la — Strayed (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Blundered; misguided; mistaken strayed; turned in wrong direction or road. A/t/a, ‘Hath gone,’ ‘hath wandered,’ ‘strayed,’ and ‘gone astray.’ But the translation ‘strays’ in the present tense is not of what the Holy Qor-aan stated in the past tense)

- ضَلٰلًاۢ — Dza-laa-lun — A straying (= n., Blunder; fault; inaccuracy; miscalculation; misguidance; mistake; straying; wrong road. A/t/a, ‘straying,’ ‘error’ and ‘from the truth’)
- بَعِيۡدًا — Ba-ee-da — Very far (= adj., Big; distant; gone astray far; long; mighty; very far; wide. A/t/a, ‘far away,’ ‘far away (from the truth)’ and ‘far’)
