The Holy Qor-aan 004:159
بَلْ رَّفَعَهُ اللّٰهُ اِلَيۡهِ ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَزِيۡزًا حَكِيۡمًا
.
Bur-ra-fa-aa-hool-laa-ho-elai-hay-wa-kaa-nul-laa-ho-azee-zun-ha-kee-maa
But Allah exalted him in His view and Allah has been the Mightiest, the Wisest
- بَلْ — Bul — But (= Aye; but; but the truth is; however; indeed; instead; in truth; nay; nevertheless; of course; on the contrary; rather; really; the fact is; truthfully; verily; yea but; yes indeed. A/t/a, ‘On the contrary’ and ‘Rather’ of’)
- رَّفَعَ — Ra-fa-a — He exalted (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person. He elevated, exalted, lifted, placed or raised above from a prior set, stage or status. A/t/a, ‘exalted,’ ‘exalted him with all honour,’ ‘raised up,’ ‘took … up’ and ‘lifted up.’ God’s action relative to man as stated in Note 003:056 and verses 004:159 and 006:084)
- هُ — Ho — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to Jesus Christ)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- اِلَيۡ — E-lai — To (= In the direction of; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘unto’ and ‘in’)
- هِ — Hay –His view (= pro., s., m; 3rd person. Ref to the Almighty God; in His view. A/t/a, ‘Himself,’ ‘His presence,’ and ‘Himself (with his body and soul) … (and he p.o.h. is in the heavens’)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- كَانَ — Kaa-na(ul) — It has been (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; had been; used to; were, went on doing. Indicates the continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. The phrase ‘has always been’ indicates an endless continuation. A/t/a, ‘is’ and ‘was’)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
The combination of following two words is in many verses like 004:057, 004:166 etc
- عَزِيۡزًا — Azee-zun — Mightiest (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Most Exalted, Highest, Honored, Respected and Revered. This one word includes the meanings of Might with Respect. A/t/a, ‘Exalted in Power,’ ‘ever Mighty,’ ‘Mighty,’ ‘mighty,’ ‘All-Mighty,’ ‘Almighty’ and ‘Ever All Powerful.’ See 001:001)
- حَكِيۡمًا — Ha-kee-maa — Wisest (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Most Shrewd and Wise. The Wisest. A/t/a, ‘Wise,’ ‘All-Wise,’ and ‘wise.’ See 001:001)
