رُسُلًا مُّبَشِّرِيۡنَ وَمُنۡذِرِيۡنَ لِئَلَّا يَكُوۡنَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللّٰهِ حُجَّةٌ ۢ بَعۡدَ الرُّسُلِ‌ ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَزِيۡزًا حَكِيۡمًا‏

 

Ro-so-lum-mo-baush-shay-ree-na-wa-mon-zay-ree-na-lay-il-laa                                          Ya-koo-na-lin-naa-say-alul-laa-hay-hooj-ja-toon-bau-dur-ro-so-lay                                  Wa-kaa-nul-laa-ho-azee-zun-ha-kee-maa

 

(Continuing with the prior verse … Such repeated coming of)                                        Messengers as bearers of good news and carriers of warnings is                            So that the people have no excuse against Allah after the Prophets.                        And Allah has always been The Mightiest, The Wisest

 

  • رُسُلًا — Ro-so-lu..(mb) — Messengers (= pl., Apostles; God’s messengers; prophets; sages; saints. A/t/a, ‘All these Messengers (were)’)
  • مُبَشِّرِيۡنَ Mo-baush-shay-ree-na  Bearers of good news (= n., pl., Announcers, bearers, carriers givers or sharers of the Truth, a good and glad news or tiding, happy or joyous information or proclamation. A/t/a, ‘bearers of good news,’ ‘bearers of glad tidings,’ ‘of good cheer,’ ‘bearers of good tidings (to the believers),’ who ‘gave good news’ and ‘who brought good news to mankind.’ But the translation of this word as ‘bearing glad tidings’ as a verb is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as noun)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet. A/t/a, ‘as well as’)
  • مُنۡذِرِيۡنَ — Moon-zay-ree-na — Warner (= n., pl., Announcers, bearers, carriers or givers of a bad  or sad news, caution or warning. A/t/a ‘warners,’  ‘Warners (to the disbelievers, and were sent),’ ‘warning’ and ‘warnings.’ But translating this word as ‘admonished them’ which is a verb is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a noun)

The construction of next 7 words [except for ڪُمۡ instead of اللّٰهِ] is in 002:151 and 004:166

  • لِئَلَّا — Lay-ill-laa — So that no (= Haply; hopefully; perchance; perhaps; possibly; hope and wish; may be. Possibly one word made up of three words: لِ [lay] meaning ‘for the purpose that’,  اِنۡ [in] meaning ‘if’ and لَا [laa] meaning ‘not’. Thus the entire  combination   لِئَلَّا  would mean ‘so that people may not.’ A/t/a ‘so that .. no,’ ‘have no,’ ‘so that,’ ‘in order that ‘ and ‘might not’)
  • يَكُوۡنَ — Ya-koo-na — Have (= v., pass., s., m., 3rd person., Continue to be. Conveys continuation from the past to the present and leading into the future – like ‘continued doing,’ ‘has been  going on’ and ‘went on doing.’ A/t/a, ‘may have’ and ‘might not’)   
  • لِ — Lay…(in) — For (= For the attention, benefit, purpose or reason of. Relative to. Concerning. With intent to. With the object of)
  • النَّاسِ — Naa-say — The people (= Factions; folks, groups; human beings; mankind; men;  nations; tribes)
  • عَلٰى — Alaa …(ul) — On (= Above; against; before; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • حُجَّةٌ — Hooj-ja-toon — Excuse (= n., Argument, chance, ground, justification or reason to blame, criticize, dispute or find fault; cause to reproach; explanation; justification; plea; reason; valid cause of contention. A/t/a, ‘excuse’ and ‘plea’)
  • بَعۡدَ — Bau-da…(ur) — After (= Afterwards; subsequent to; succeeding. A/t/a, ‘after (the coming of,’ ‘after (the advent of),’ ‘after the (coming of’ and ‘after their coming’)
  • الرُّسُلِ — Ro-so-lay — Messengers (= n., pl., Apostles; God’s messengers; prophets; sages; saints. A/t/a, ‘Messengers’ and ‘Messengers have conveyed His Message to them’)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • كَانَ — Kaa-na…(ul) — Has been (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; had been; used to; were, went on doing. Indicates the continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. The phrase ‘has always been’ indicates an endless continuation. A/t/a, ‘is’ and ‘was’)
  • اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)

The combination of following two words is in many verses like 004:057, 004:159 etc

  • عَزِيۡزًا — Azee-zun — Mightiest (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Revered. The Highest. The Most Exalted. Honored and Respected. All-Mighty. Exalted in might and power. Mightiest. This one word includes the meanings of might with respect. A/t/a, ‘Exalted in Power,’   ‘ever Mighty,’ ‘Mighty.’ ‘All-Mighty,’ ‘Almighty,’ ‘mighty’ and ‘Ever All-Powerful.’ Also see 001:001)
  • حَكِيۡمًا‏ — Ha-kee-maa — Wisest (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Wise, Exalted and Shrewd. The Wisest. A/t/a, ‘Wise’ and ‘All-Wise.’ Also see 001:001)
