The Holy Qor-aan 004:176
فَاَمَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَاعۡتَصَمُوۡا بِهٖ فَسَيُدۡخِلُهُمۡ فِىۡ رَحۡمَةٍ مِّنۡهُ وَفَضۡلٍ ۙ وَّيَهۡدِيۡهِمۡ اِلَيۡهِ صِرَاطًا مُّسۡتَقِيۡمًا ؕ
Fa-um-mul-la-zee-na-aa-ma-noo-bil-laa-hay Wau-ta-sa-moo-bay-he-fa-sa Yood-khay-lo-hoom-fee-rah-ma-tin-min-ho-wa-fudz-lin Wa-yah-de-him-elai-hay-say-raa-tum-moos-ta-qee-ma
So regards those who believed in Allah And held fast with Him, then soon He will enter them in Mercy and Blessings from Him And guide them to Himself in a right road
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
- اَمَّا — Um-ma … (ul) — As regards (= As far as; as regards; relative to. A/t/a, ‘as for’ and ‘now as to’)
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to the Believers)
- اٰمَنُوۡا — Aa-ma-noo — They Believed (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Believed in the Holy Qor-aan; became Moslems; entered Isslaam. The Holy Qor-aan has used this word in the past tense; yet some authors translated it inaccurately in the present tense as ‘believe’ — like the one who was inconsistent with himself in what he had done just two verses earlier in 004:174. See Note 002:026c and Commentaries Islam – 101 and Believe and Disbelieve)
- بِ — B…(il) — With (= Literally the word بِ means with but the context here warrants to substitute it with an ‘in’)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa…(au) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- اعۡتَصَمُوۡا — Au-ta-sa-moo — They held fast (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Attached; bonded; clung; connected; joined; linked up; sought; stuck. A/t/a, ‘held fast.’ But the translation as ‘hold fast’ in the present tense is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
- بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ means with. A/t/a, ‘unto’ and ‘to’)
- هٖ — He — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God. This pronoun may also refer to the Belief in Allah stated in the 4th precedent word اٰمَنُوۡا )
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
- سَ — Sa — Soon will (= The one-lettered word that turns a verb in the present tense to verb in the near term or future; in a short while; quickly; swiftly; very closely; without too long a wait. A/t/a, definitely; surely)
- يُدۡخِلُ — Yood-khay-lo — Will enter (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Admit. A/t/a, ‘will cause to enter.’ But the translation ‘shall be admitted’ in the passive voice is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the active voice)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Those men; they; their)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Amidst. Among. Contained or inside a duration, event, place, period, person, phenomenon, situation, thing or time. Also, about; concerning; in reference, regarding, relative to. See Note at 002:028. May also be belonging to a kind or category, rank or person, thing or situation)
- رَحۡمَةٍ — Rah-ma-tin — Mercy (= Beneficence. Clemency. Compassion. Condoning. Forgiveness. Intercession. Intervention. Kindness. Leniency. Omitting, relenting or waiving punishment)
- مِّنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several
- هُ — Ho — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- فَضۡلٍ — Fudz-lin — Blessings (= n,, s., Abundant grace; benevolence; blessing; bounty; generosity; goodness; grace; grant; greatest gift; kindness; liberal bestowing; plenteousness. A/t/a, ‘Grace (i.e. Paradise)’
- وّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- يَهۡدِيۡ — Yauh-de — Guides (= v., pres., m., s., 3rd person. He directs to the best way; gives good guidance; provides opportunities with the appropriate directions; leads on level linier lines; puts on proper path. Shows sure success..Also, avoids evil to enable man reach his noble aims, goals and objects. A/t/a, ‘guide’ and ‘will guide’)
- هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Those men; they; their)
- اِلَيۡ — E-lai — At (= In the direction of; to; towards)
- هِ — Hay — Himself (= pro., s., m; 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
The concept in next two words is repeated many times including the verse 001:006
- صِرَاطًا — Say-raa-tun — Road (= Course; direction; lines; path; road; route; way. A/t/a, ‘Path’)
- مُّسۡتَقِيۡمًا — Moos-ta-qee-ma — Right (= Appropriate; best; correct; proper; straight. A/t/a, ‘leading to Himself,’ ‘along a straight and right … (leading to Himself),’ ‘along a straight path’ and ‘Straight’)
