The Holy Qor-aan 005:018
لَـقَدۡ كَفَرَ الَّذِيۡنَ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الۡمَسِيۡحُ ابۡنُ مَرۡيَم َؕ قُلۡ فَمَنۡ يَّمۡلِكُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيۡـًٔـــا اِنۡ اَرَادَ اَنۡ يُّهۡلِكَ الۡمَسِيۡحَ ابۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ وَاُمَّهٗ وَمَنۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ وَلِلّٰهِ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ؕ يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ
La-qud-ka-fa-rul-la-ze-na-qaa-loo-in-nul-laa-ha Ho-wal-ma-see-hoob-no-mar-ya-ma
Qool-fa-mun-yum-lay-ko-may-nul-laa-hay-shai-aa In-araa-da-un-yoh-lay-kal-ma-see-hoob-no-mar-ya-ma Wa-oom-mo-hoo-wa-mun-fil-ur-dzay-ja-mee-aa
Wa-lil-laa-hay-mool-koos-sa-maa-waa-tay Wul-ur-dzay-wa-maa-bai-na-ho-maa Yaukh-lo-qo-maa-ya-shaa-o Wul-laa-ho-alaa-kool-lay-shai-in-qa-dee-r
Most certainly those who disbelieved said that Allah is The Messiah Jesus son of Mary
Say, “Then who has any power against Allah if He willed That He kills the Messiah Jesus son of Mary and his mother And whoever is in the earth altogether.”
And for Allah is the Supreme Power of the heaven And the earth and that what is been the two He creates what He wills And Allah is in full control of everything
- لَـقَدۡ — La-qud — Most certainly (= Combination of two words. Both words لَ (La) and قَدۡ (Qud) mean nearly the same like certainly, definitely, surely, verily, etc. See Commentary titled as the 2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect. A/t/a, ‘indeed are,’ ‘indeed … are,’ ‘indeed have’ and ‘have indeed’)
- كَفَرَ — Ka-fa-ra — He disbelieved (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Abused, denied, failed, misused, rejected or refused to appreciate, thank, use or utilize God-given abilities. See Commentary BELIEVE and DISBELIEVE. A/t/a, ‘disbelieved.’ But the ‘disbelievers,’ ‘are blasphemers,’ ‘Unbelievers,’ ‘in disbelief are,’ ‘In blasphemy’ and ‘disbelieve’ stated as nouns or in the present tense are no translations of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, or phenomenon or things in masculine gender. A/t/a, ‘those that’ and ‘they who’)
- قَالُوۡۤا — Qaa-loo — They said (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Announced, argued; assures; stated; told. See Notes 002:121 and 112:002 and Commentary “You say’ means. A/t/a, ‘say’ and ‘declare’ but stating that in the present tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
- اِنَّ — In-na … (ul) — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; for sure; indeed; positively; really; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘Lo’)
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- هُوَ — Ho-wa … (ul) — He (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. He. Refers to Almighty God. A/t/a, ‘is none but’)
- الۡمَسِيۡحُ — Ma-see-ho — Messiah (= The anticipated deliverer and king of the Jews)
- عِيۡسٰى — Ee-saa … (ub) — Jesus (= The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah. See verse 004:158)
- ابۡنُ — (U)b-no –Son of (= Child; off-spring)
- مَرۡيَمَ — Mur-ya-ma — Mary (= The mother of Jesus Christ)
- قُلۡ — Qool — Say (= v., s, 2nd person. Admonish; announce, argue; assure; broadcast; call; command; convey; elaborate; explain; inform; insist; instruct; maintain, mandate; order; persist; preach; proclaim; profess; propagate; specify, state; teach, tell; train or tutor. See قَالُوۡۤا above. A/t/a, ‘say’ and ‘say (O Muhammad s.a.w’)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; resultantly; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Who (= Anyone; whoever; whom; whomever; whoso)
- يَّمۡلِكُ — Yum-lay-ko — Has / Owns (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Has ability, authority, capacity, control, mastery, opportunity, ownership or power. A/t/a, ‘then has the … power,’ ‘could control,’ ‘can do aught,’ ‘who then has any power,’ ‘who can have … power,’ ‘who then had power to stand in the way of’ and ‘has the power to prevent’)
- مِنَ — May-nul — From / against (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several. A/t/a, ‘against’)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- شَيۡـــًٔا — Shai-aa — Any (= Anything at all however little or insignificant. A whit. Not the least. Smallest part of an article, item, object, material, thing, matter, type, phenomenon or something. To the least extent. A/t/a, ‘least,’ ‘anything’ and ‘any’)
- اِنۡ — In — If (= In case; under the circumstances; when; when situation arises)
- اَرَادَ — Araa-da — He willed (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person. Adjudged, chose, concluded, decided, decreed, determined, finalized, intended, planned, resolved or willed since He has all Power to finalize what He wills or designs. See Note 002:186. A/t/a, ‘willed,’ ‘wished,’ ‘he should desire,’ ‘desired,’ ‘intended,’ ‘chose,’ ‘could prevent’ and ‘he were.’ But ‘if He desire’ in the present tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
- اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that)
- يُّهۡلِكَ — Yoh-lay-ka — He kills (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Annihilates; destroys; ends; kills. A/t/a, ‘to destroy,’ ‘to bring to naught’ and ‘to put an end’ but adding a ‘to’ before the verb in the present tense as stated in the Holy Qor-aan is not an accurate translation)
- الۡمَسِيۡحَ — Ma-see-ha — Messiah (= The anticipated deliverer and king of the Jews)
- عِيۡسٰى– Ee-saa…(ub) — Jesus (= The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah)
- ابۡنُ — (U)b-no — Son of (= Child; off-spring)
- مَرۡيَمَ — Mur-ya-ma — Mary (= The mother of Jesus Christ)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- أُمُّ — Om-mo — Mother (= n., s., Could include a nursing mom)
- هٗ — Hoo — This (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to Jesus)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; whoever; whom; whomever; whoso. A//t/a, ‘all the dwellers’ and ‘all that’)
- فِى — F…(il) — In (= About. concerning; reference, regarding, relative to; in the matter of. Also, in a duration, event, time, place, period, thing or situation. A/t/a, ‘on,’ ‘of’ and ‘in.’ See Note 002:028)
- الۡاَرۡضِ — Ul-ur-dzay — The Earth (= Area; country; earth; ground; land; soil; territory. Also life on earth, nation; people or society in general)
- جَمِيۡعًا — Ja-me-aa — All (= adv: Altogether, entirely, totally or wholly accumulated, amassed, assembled, collected, concentrated, concerted, crowded, herded together in great numbers, in groups and in company with others. A/t/a, ‘every one,’ ‘all,’ ‘all those that are,’ ‘all those that were,’ ‘all those who are,’ ‘all the dwellers’ and ‘all the people’)

- السَّمٰوٰتِ — Sa-maa-waa-tay — The heavens (= n., pl., All above ground or earth; clouds; firmament; heavens; rain; skies; universe. Also, knowledge of astronomical objects in space)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- الۡاَرۡضِ — Ul-ur-dzay — Earth (= n., s., Area; country; earth; ground; land; territory. Also life on earth, nation; people or society in general)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- مَاۤ — Maa — All that (= What; whatever; whatsoever. A/t/a, ‘all that is’)
- بَيۡنَ — Bai-na — Between (= Ahead, facing or in front of; Among; betwixt. A/t/a, ‘in between’)
- هُمَا — Ho-maa — Those two (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to foresaid two things)
- يَخۡلُقُ — Yaukh-lo-qo — He creates (= v. pres., s., 3rd person.. Brings into being; designs; fashions; produces. A/t/a, ‘He createth’ and ‘creates’)
- مَاۤ — Maa — All that (= What; whatever; whatsoever)
- يَّشَآءَ — Ya-shaa-a — He chooses (= v., pres. A., 3rd person., Decides; decrees; desires, destines, dictates; likes, mandates, orders, pleases; prefers; rules; selects; wants; wills; wishes. A/t/a, ‘He pleaseth,’ ‘He pleases,’ ‘He will’ and ‘He wills’)
- وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (= The وَ vaao is tantamount to taking oath; solemn declaration or calling as a witness. See also وَ above)
The Holy Qor-aan has frequently stated the truth in the next five words. See Note 002:021
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah is (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- عَلَى — Alaa — Of / on (= Above; for; of; on; over; upon)
- كُلِّ — Kool-lay — Every (= All things without exception; entirely; totally; wholly)
- شَىۡءٍ — Shai-in — Thing (= Article; being; element; item; phenomenon)
- قَدِيۡرٌ — Qa-dee-r — In full control (= superlative form that includes the meanings of ‘fullness and totality of control.‘ Controller. Has the absolute power to do what He wills. Master and possessor of all powers)
