The Holy Qor-aan 005:027
قَالَ فَاِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ اَرۡبَعِيۡنَ سَنَةً ۚ يَتِيۡهُوۡنَ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ فَلَا تَاۡسَ عَلَى الۡقَوۡمِ الۡفٰسِقِيۡنَ
Qaa-la-fa-in-na-haa-mo-hur-ra-ma-toon Alai-him-ur-ba-ee-na-sa-na-tun-ya-te-hoo-na-fil-ur-dzay Fa-laa-tau-sa-alul-qao-mil-faa-say-qee-n
He (Allah) said, “Then it is prohibited On them for forty years. They will just wander on earth. You do not feel sorry for the miscreant people.”
- قَالَ — Qaa-la — Allah said (= v., past., s, 3rd person. Announced; commanded; declared; directed; informed; ordered; proclaimed; replied; ruled; stated; told. See Note 002:121 and Commentary ‘You say’ means‘)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus.)
- اِنَّ — In-na — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily)
- هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person., Ref to the aforesaid, Holy Land. A/t/a, ‘For this the land will … be,’ ‘The land,’ ‘it shall be’ and ‘it (this holy land)’
- مُحَرَّمَةٌ — Mo-hur-ra-ma-toon — Something prohibited (= n., Forbidden; made unlawful; prohibited; restricted. A/t/a, ‘Will the land be out of their reach,’ ‘be forbidden,’ ‘be … forbidden,’ ‘is forbidden’ and ‘They shall be forbidden’)
- عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon)
- هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Those men; they; their)
- اَرۡبَعِيۡنَ — Ur-ba-ee-na — Forty (= n., pl. The number; four times ten)
- سَنَةً — Sa-na-tun — Years (= n., pl. The period consisting of twelve months)
- يَتِيۡهُوۡنَ — Ya-te-hoo-na — They wander (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. They will wander aimlessly, homelessly, purposelessly, uselessly and wretchedly. Continually walk absent-mindedly, crazily, dejectedly, desolately, dreadfully, miserably and pitifully. Wander in a crazy, confused and miserable condition, from pillar to post. A/t/a, ‘wander about,’ ‘they will wander … bewildered,’ ‘in distraction shall they wander,’ ‘They shall wander about … distracted and in confusion,’ ‘shall be wandering about in destitution’ and ‘they shall wander homeless’)

- لَا — Laa — No (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception)
- تَاۡسَ –Tau-sa — You feel sorry (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. You feel distressed, grieved, regretful, sad or sorrow. A/t/a, ‘sorrow,’ ‘grieve’ and ‘be … sorrowful’)
- عَلٰى — Ala … (ul) — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon)
- الۡـقَوۡمِ — Qao-m … (il) — People (= n., s., Addressees; attendees; fellows; followers; folks; group; nation; party; people; tribe. A/t/a, ‘folk’)
- الۡفٰسِقِيۡنَ — Faa-say-qee-n — Miscreants (= n., pl., Who have misbelief or false religious faith. Who practice bad, abomination and contemptible ways that are loathed by and frowned upon. See Note 003:083 for more meanings. A/t/a, ‘disobedient,’ ‘rebellious,’ ‘transgressing,’ ‘wrong-doing’ and ‘Fasiqun (rebellious and disobedient to Allah)’
