  اِنِّىۡۤ اُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ تَبُوۡٓءَ بِاِثۡمِىۡ وَ اِثۡمِكَ فَتَكُوۡنَ مِنۡ اَصۡحٰبِ النَّارِ ۚ  وَذٰ لِكَ جَزٰٓؤُا الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ‌ۚ ‏ ‏  

 

In-nee-o-re-do-un-ta-boo-aa-bay-ith-me-wa-ith-may-ka                                                            Fa-ta-koo-na-min-us-haa-bin-naa-r                                                                                                Wa-zaa-lay-ka-ja-zaa-ooz-zaa-lay-mee-n

 

Surely I would rather you bear the burden of my sin and your sin                          So you be among the inmates of Fire                                                                                    And that is the punishment for the wrongdoers

 

  • اِنَّ — In-n … (ee) — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly;  indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘Lo!)
  • ىۡ — Ee — I (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my. A/t/a, ‘For me’)
  • اُرِيۡدُ — O-re-do — Intend (= v., pres., s., 1st person. Aim; choose; desire; intend; want; wish. A/t/a, ‘would rather prefer,’ ‘would rather,’ ‘shall restrain myself as I desire’ and ‘would rather like’)
  • اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that)
  • تَبُوۡٓءَ — Ta-boo-aa — You bear burden (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. Bear burden; carry load; stand liable. Also, be responsible for. A/t/a, ‘Thee draw on thyself,’ ‘thou shouldst bear,’ ‘thou shouldst bear the punishment of,’ ‘should rest,’ ‘you should bear,’ ‘bear (the burden of),’ ‘you should add’ and ‘let you draw … on yourself’)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with. A/t/a, ‘with the responsibility’)
  • اِثۡمِ — Ith-may — Sin (= n., Bad result; crime; wrong. A/t/a, ‘sin,’ ‘sin against’ and ‘sin   (committed) against … (- the sin of murder)’
  • ىۡ — Ee — My (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over. A/t/a, ‘as well as’)
  • اِثۡمِ — Ith-may — Sin (= n., Bad result; crime. See  اِثۡمِ  above. A/t/a, ‘(that of) … sin (committed previously due to which your offering was not accepted’ and ‘other sins’)
  • كَ — Ka   — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. A/t/a, ‘thine own’ and ‘thee’)
  • فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; resultantly so; thereafter; therefore; thus. A/t/a,  ‘for’)
  • تَكُوۡنَ — Ta-koo-na — You be / become (= v., pres., s., 2nd person., Continue. A/t/a, ‘thou will be,’ thou wouldst be,’ ‘become,’ ‘with the result that thou wilt be,’ ‘be,’ ‘you  would become,’ ‘incur’ and ‘you will be’)
  • مِنۡ — Min — Among (= Among [mzk], from or out of the class or category of several. A/t/a, ‘of the’ and ‘one of’)
  • اَصۡحٰبِ — Us-haa-b … (in) — Inmates (= n., pl., 1. Associates; companions; folks; friends; people. 2. Citizens; denizens; dwellers; families; fellows; heirs; inhabitants; inmates; live-ins; natives; occupants; occupiers; populace population; residents; tenants. 3. Controllers; masters owners; possessors. A/t/a, ‘inhabitant’ )
  • ٱلنَّارِ —  Naa-ray — The Fire  (= Anger, punishment or wrath of Allah; hell; hell fire; purgatory. The Fire of punishment. Literally, the rapid sustained reaction or source of releasing light and heat. The rule in  اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِ‌‌ۚ هُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ  is also repeated among others in verse 002:040, etc)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • ذٰ لِكَ — Zaa-lay-ka — That is (= All that is described, mentioned, stated or told. Those shown,  specified or stated right here. A/t/a, ‘that is’ and ‘such indeed is’)
  • جَزَآءُ — Ja-zaa-o…(oz) — Punishment (= n., Penalty; punishment; retribution; sentence. Also consequence, result or follow up since the word is used for both good or evil acts like referred to in Note 004:094. A/t/a, ‘reward’ and ‘recompense’)
  • الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‏ — Zaa-lay-mee-n — Wrongdoers (= n., pl., Bad people. Criminals. Culprits. Doers of harm, hurt or injury. Evil-doers. Polytheists. Transgressors. Those who commit, do, practice, repeat or habitually pursue the evil and cause grievous wrongs to others. Unfair. Unjust. Violators. Wicked. A/t/a, ‘wrong-doers,’ ‘those who do wrong’ and ‘Zalimin polytheists and wrongdoers)’
