The Holy Qor-aan 005:048
وَلۡيَحۡكُمۡ اَهۡلُ الۡاِنۡجِيۡلِ بِمَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ فِيۡهِ ؕ وَمَنۡ لَّمۡ يَحۡكُمۡ بِمَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ
Wul-yah-hoom-ah-lool-in-jee-la Bay-maa-un-za-lul-laa-ho-fee-hay Wa-mun-lum-yah-koom-bay-maa-un-za-lul-laa-ho Fa-o-laa-aiy-ka-ho-mool-faa-say-qoo-n
And surely the people of the Bible should decide With what Allah has entrusted in it. And whoso does not decide with what Allah entrusted Then they all are the Miscreants.
- وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; when; while.. A/t/a, ‘Therefore’)
- لۡ — La — Surely (= Clearly, definitely; indeed; really; truly; surely; verily. A/t/a, ‘Let’)
- يَحۡكُمُ — Yah-koom — Decide (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Adjudicates; arbitrates; judges; settle disagreement or dispute; mandates; orders. A/t/a, ‘judge’ and ‘rule’)
- اَهۡلُ — Ah-lo … (ol) — People of (= Believers; folks; friends; masters; owners, people; those belonging to or entrusted with; users. Also, supporters. A/t/a, ‘The people’ and ‘followers’)
- الۡاِنۡجِيۡلِ — In-jee-lay — The Bible (= n. The Scriptures entrusted, lowered on or revealed to Jesus son of Mary. A/t/a, ‘Gospel,’ ‘Evangel,’ ‘Injil (Gospel)’ and ‘Injeel’)
- بِمَا — Bay-maa — With what (= Combination of two words. بِ means ‘with / in’ and مَاۤ means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever. The combination بِمَا (bay-maa) means ‘according to; on account of; for the reason; due to; with all that.’ A/t/a, ‘by what,’ ‘by that which,’ ‘according to what,’ ‘according to that which’ and ‘in accordance with’)
- اَنۡزَلَ — Un-za-la … (ul) — He entrusted (= v., past, s., 3rd person. Dispatched; gave; granted; inspired; revealed; handed; laid; landed; lowered; sent or poured down. Also, delivered; provided; released; supplied. See Note 002:005a. A/t/a, ‘revealed,’ ‘has revealed’ and ‘hath revealed’)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Contained or inside a duration, event, place, period, person, situation, thing or time. See Note at 002:028
- هِ — Hay — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid Bible. A/t/a, ‘therein’)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases, or clauses. See وَ above)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; whoever; whomever; whoso; whosoever. A/t/a, ‘if any’ and ‘those who’)
- لَمۡ — Lum — Not (= Absolutely never; no, not at all. A/t/a, ‘do fail,’ ‘do not’ and ‘does not’)
- يَحۡكُمۡ — Yah-koom — Decide (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Adjudicates; arbitrates; judges; See يَحۡكُمُ above. A/t/a, ‘judeth’ and ‘base their judgments’)
- بِمَا — Bay-maa — With what (= Because of; on account of. See بِمَا above)
- اَنۡزَلَ — Un-za-la … (ul) — He entrusted (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Gave; granted; revealed; sent. See اَنۡزَلَ above. But ‘revelations’ is a noun and no translation of the verb what the Holy Qor-aan has used as a verb)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
- اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — O-laa-aiy-ka — All of these (= Acts; facts, items, persons or things. A/t/a, ‘it is these,’ ‘these it is,’ ‘such are,’ ‘such (people) are,’ ‘those are’ and ‘those that’)
- هُمُ — Ho-mo … (ol) — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Those men; they; their)
- الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ — Faa-say-qoo-n — Miscreants (= n., pl., Who have misbelief or false religious faith. Who practice bad, abomination and contemptible ways that are loathed by and frowned upon. See Note 003:083. A/t/a, ‘They are (no better than) ‘Those who rebel,’ ‘transgressors,’ ‘real disobedient,’ ‘rebellious,’ ‘wicked,’ ‘evil-livers,’ ‘Evil-doers’ and ‘Fasiqun [the rebellious i.e. disobedient (to a lesser degree) to Allah’)
