 وَاِذَا جَآءُوۡكُمۡ قَالُوۡۤا اٰمَنَّا وَقَدْ دَّخَلُوۡا بِالۡكُفۡرِ وَهُمۡ قَدۡ خَرَجُوۡا بِهٖ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡتُمُوۡنَ‏

 

Wa-ezaa-jaa-oo-koom-qaa-loo-aa-mun-naa                                                                                    Wa-qud-da-kha-loo-bil-koof-ray                                                                                                        Wa-hoom-kha-ra-joo-bay-he                                                                                                                Wul-laa-ho-au-la-mo-bay-maa-kaa-noo-yuk-to-moo-n

 

And when they came to you, they said, “We have believed.”                                        And they surely came with the Disbelief                                                                        And they surely went with the same.                                                                                 And by God Allah is Well Aware of what they have been hiding.

 

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more      over; though; when; while; yet)
  • اِذَا — Ezaa — When (= At the time or event; call to mind; recall; remember; think of the time, event, occasion or opportunity)
  • جَآءُو — Jaa-oo — Came (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Arrived; reached. A/t/a, came.’ But stating ‘come to’ and ‘come’ in the present tense is not a translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all men. The Holy Qor-aan generally addresses men and women jointly this way)
  • قَالُوۡۤا  — Qaa-loo — Said (= v., past, pl., 3rd person. Announced, assured; broadcast; called; claimed; conveyed; declared; explained; stated; informed; insisted; maintained, proclaimed; professed; specified; told. See Commentary ‘You say’ means. A/t/a, ‘said.’ But stating ‘say’ in present tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has state in the past tense)
  • اٰمَنَّا — Aa-mun-naa — We have believed (= v., past, pl., 1st person. We have believed in the Holy Qor-aan; became Moslems; Accepted, acknowledged, admitted or witnessed their entry in Iss-laam. See Commentary Believe and Disbelieve. A/t/a, ‘We believe’ but that in the present tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above. A/t/a, ‘but’ and ‘while’)
  • قَدۡ — Qud —  Surely(= This word lays emphasis like very definitely; surely. See Note 004:049 and our Commentary titled 2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect. A/t/a, ‘in fact’ and ‘infect’)
  • دَّخَلُوۡا — Da-kha-loo — They came (= v., past., pl., 3rd  person. Admitted; allowed; gained  admission; entered. A/t/a, ‘came.’ But ‘they enter With a mind against Faith,’ ‘they come in’ and ‘they enter’ in the present tense is not a translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
  • بِ — B … (il) — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with A/t/a, ‘with (an intention of)’ and ‘in’ )
  • الۡکُفۡرَ — Koof-ray — Disbelief (= n., Abuse, denial, failure, misuse, rejection or refusal to  appreciate, thank, use or utilize any God-given ability, blessing, capacity, capability, opportunity or talent. A/t/a, ‘disbelief,’ ‘unbelief’ and ‘disbelieving.’ But stating  ‘infidels’ as the doer of an act is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as the act itself)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above.
  • هُمۡ‌ — Hoom — They (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they)
  • قَدۡ — Qud — Surely (= Definitely; surely. See  قَدۡ  above)
  • خَرَجُوۡا — Kha-ra-joo — Went (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Departed; exited; gone back; got out; left; returned. A/t/a, ‘went out.’ But stating as ‘go out’ and ‘go forth’ in the present tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with. A/t/a, ‘in’)
  • هٖ  — He — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid disbelief. A/t/a, ‘disbelieving,’ ‘therewith,’ ‘unbelief’ and ‘the same’)
  • وَ  — Wa…(ul) — And (= The وَ  vaao when used with the Almighty God’s name is tantamount to taking oath with His name; solemn declaration or calling as a witness)
  • اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • اَعۡلَمُ — Au-la-mo — Well Aware (= adj., To the nth degree … Aware, experienced, familiar, informed or knowing. Also, where the text indicates, as a v., pres., s., 1st person this word means I know more and best. Knows best. A/t/a, ‘knoweth fully,’ ‘knoweth best,’ ‘knows best,’ ‘best knows,’ ‘knows,’ But saying ‘knew’ as a verb in the past tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as an adjective)
  • بِمَا — Bay-maa — With what (= Combination of two words. بِ  means ‘with / in’ and  مَاۤ  means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever.’ The combination  بِمَا  (bay-maa) means ‘because of; on account of; for the reason; due to; with or in all that. A/t/a, ‘all that,’ ‘all what,’ ‘what’ and ‘that which’)
  • كَانُوۡۤا — Kaa-noo — They had been (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; used to; went on; were doing. Words has or had always been indicate endless continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. A/t/a, ‘were’)
  • يَكۡتُمُوۡنَ‏ — Yuk-to-moo-n —  Hiding (= v., pres., s., m., 3rd person., Concealing; keeping secret; keeping under cover; withholding to disclose. A/t/a, ‘hiding,’ ‘they hide,’ ‘they conceal’ and ‘they see to hide.’ But stating as ‘their secret thoughts’ as a noun is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb)
