اِذۡ قَالَ الۡحَـوَارِيُّوۡنَ يٰعِيۡسَى ابۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ هَلۡ يَسۡتَطِيۡعُ رَبُّكَ اَنۡ يُّنَزِّلَ عَلَيۡنَا مَآٮِٕدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ‌ ؕ قَالَ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‏

Iz-qaa-lul-ha-wa-ree-yoo-na-yaa-ee-sub-na-mur-ya-ma                                                      Hul-yus-ta-te-o-rub-bo-ka-un-yo-nuz-zay-la-alai-naa                                                              Maa-aiy-da-tum-may-nus-sa-maa-aiy                                                                                    Qaa-lut-ta-qool-laa-ha-in-koon-toom-moe-may-nee-n

When the disciples said, “Listen Jesus son of Mary,                                                  Has your Lord the ability that He sends down on us                                                      Plenteous food from the Heaven?”                                                                                        He said, “Love Allah if you have been the believers.”

• اِذۡ — Iz — When (= Any time or event; behold; call to mind; consider; now                            that; ponder over, recall; reflect, remember; think of the event, occasion, opportunity or time; whenever. A/t/a, ‘when,’ ‘Behold,’ ‘call to mind,’ ‘(Recall the time) when’ and ‘(Remember) when’)
• قَا لَ — Qaa-la … (ul) — He said (= v., past, s, m, 3^rd person. Announced; broadcast; called; conveyed; declared; informed; elaborated; explained; specified; stated; told. A/t/a, ‘asked’)
• الۡحَـوَارِيُّوۡنَ — Ha-vaa-re-yoo-na — Disciples (= n., pl., Assistants; associates; disciples;   helpers; promoters. A/t/a, ‘Al-Hawariyyun (the disciples’ [of Isa (Jesus)].’ See also 003:053)
• يٰۤ — Yaa — Listen (= Be attentive; hearken; pay attention; O!)
• عِيۡسٰى — Ee-sa … (ub) — Jesus (= Isa; The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah; Jesus)
• ابۡنَ — Ub-na — Son (= Boy; male child)
• مَرۡيَمَ — Mur-ya-ma …(uz)  Mary (= The mother of Jesus Christ)
• هَلۡ — Hull — Has (= Word that asks. Can? Could? Do? Did? Have? Is? What? Will? Would? A/t/a, ‘Can,’ ‘is’ and ‘would’)
• يَسۡتَطِيۡعُ  — Yus-ta-te-o — He has ability (= v., pres., s., 3^rd person. Has, controls, owns or possess the proper ability, capability, means, measure, strength or other wherewithal to do the needful. A/t/a, ‘has … power to,’ ‘consent to’ and ‘able to)
• رَبُّ — Rub-bo — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
• كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2^nd person. You single male. A/t/a, ‘thy’)
• اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that)
• يُّنَزِّلَ — Yo-nuz-zay-la — Send down (= v. pres., s., 3^rd person. Descend; land; lower)
• عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over. A/t/a, ‘to’ and ‘for’)
• نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl., 1^st person. Our; us; we)
• مَآٮِٕدَةً — Maa-aiy-da-ton — Big lot of Food (= n., Abundant, enormous, huge amounts, lots of or plenteous blessings, favors, provisions being bestowed regardless of whether one has tried to earn them or not.  A/t/a, ‘Ma’idah (tray of food),’ [daz], ‘table set (with viands),’ ‘a tablespread with food,’ ‘a table spread with food,’ ‘a table spread with a sure and lasting food’ and ‘a table spread  (with food)
• مِّنَ — May-na … (us) — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
•  السَّمَآءِ‌ — Sa-maa-aiy –The Heaven (= n., s., All above ground or earth that no one has seen.  The ref is to get out of nowhere known or seen without trying for or exerting to earn it)
• قَا لَ — Qaa-la … (ut) — He said (= v., past, s, m, 3^rd person. Announced; broadcast; called; conveyed; declared; informed. See قَا لَ above. A/t/a, ’rebuked’ and ‘Isa (Jesus) said’)

The Holy Qor-aan has used the Phrase Wut-ta-qool-laa-ha … in many contexts

• اتَّقُوا — Ut-ta-qoo … (l) –You love (= v., pres., m., 2^nd person, Act piously and avoid angering Allah by being deeply in love with Him; be afraid, pious and righteous. See Commentary The Righteous. A/t/a, ‘fear,’ ‘Keep your duty to Allah,’ ‘Be mindful of …. ‘s Majesty,’ ‘observe your duty to’ and ‘Have fear of Allah’)
• ٱللَّهَ  — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
• اِنۡ — In — If (= In case; under the circumstances; when; when situation arises; whenever. A/y/a, ‘if … indeed’)
• كُنۡـتُمۡ — Koon-toom — You have been (= Since the past were and have been continuously. It is a combination of two words. The first word is  كُنۡ  which  means have or had been since the past. The second word is  تُمۡ  that means you all men and that is how the  Holy Qor-aan has addressed men and women jointly.   A/t/a, ‘ye,’ ‘ye are’ and ‘you are’)
• مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ  — Moe-may-nee-n  — The believers (= n,. pl., Adherents of Islam; those who enter the Faith, believe and follow the Holy Qor-aan, the Islam and become Moslems. Men of faith. The faithful. See Commentary Believe and Disbelieve. A/t/a, ‘true believers’ and ‘have faith’)
