The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                               006:008

 

وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ كِتٰبًا فِىۡ قِرۡطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوۡهُ بِاَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ لَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا سِحۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ‏

.

Wa-lao-nuz-zul-naa-alai-ka-kay-taa-bun-fee-qir-taa-sin                                                          Fa-la-ma-soo-ho-bay-aiy-de-him                                                                                                    La-qaa-lul-zee-na-ka-fa-roo                                                                                                                  In-ha-zaa-il-laa-seh-roon-mo-bee-n

 

And if We had revealed upon you a writing in paper                                                    So they touched it with their hands                                                                                        Surely those who disbelieved would have said,                                                                “This surely is nothing but an obvious magic.”

 

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • لَوۡ — Lao — If (= In case; under the circumstances. A/t/a, ‘Even’ and ‘even if’)
  • نَزَّلۡ — Nuz-zul — Revealed (= v., past., 1st person. Awarded, dropped, entrusted, given,   inspired, revealed or sent down in small portions at a time. A/t/a, ‘sent’)
  • نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., m/g., pl., 1st person. Our; Us. Used with God’s name this is the authoritative way a higher-up talks)
  • عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over. A/t/a, ‘unto’ and ‘to’)
  • كَ — Ka —  You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. The addressee of this divine message is the Holy Prophet s.a.w. See Note 002:005. A/t/a, ‘you (Muhammad s.a.w),’ ‘thee’ and ‘thee (Muhammad)’
  • كِتَـٰبً۬ا — Kay-taa-bun — A writing (= n., Book. Divine Code. Scripture. Written thing. A/t/a, ‘a writing,’ ‘(actual) writing,’ ‘book inscribed,’ ‘book (written),’ ‘written,’ ‘a written (Message)’ and ‘message’)
  • فِىۡ — Fee — In (= In; on; upon. See Note 002:028. A/t/a, ’on’ and ‘upon’)     
  • قِرۡطَاسٍ۬ — Qir-taa-sin — Paper (= n., Form of paper; a hard copy. A/t/a, ‘parchment,’          and ‘real parchment’)
  • فَ — Fa — So (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; so; thereafter; therefore; thus. A/t/a, ‘so that’ and ‘then’ and’)
  • لَمَسُو — La-ma-soo — They had touched (= v., past., pl. 3rd person. Handled. A/t/a, ‘they had touched,’ they had felt,’ ‘they could Touch,’ ‘they could feel,’ ‘they could have touched’ and ‘touched’)
  • هٗ — Hoo — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid paper)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with)
  • اَيۡدِيۡ — Aiy-dee — Hands (= n., pl. Both hands. A/t/a, ‘own hands’)
  • هِمۡ — Him — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
  • لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, definitely; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘even then … surely’ and ‘would have been sure’)
  • قَا لَ — Qaa-la — Said (= v., past, s, m, 3rd person. Announced; called; declared; told. See 002:031. A/t/a, ‘would have been sure to say,’ ‘would have said,’ ‘would … have said,’  ‘would have … said,’ ‘would have invariably said,’ ‘to say’ and ‘they would still say’)
  • ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, or phenomenon or things in masculine gender)
  • كَفَرُوۡۤا — Ka-fa-roo — Disbelieved (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Denied, refused and rejected the Faith and belief in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan, Islam (Isslaam) and become Moselm. See the Commentary Believe and Disbelieve. A/t/a,  ‘(even then) those who have disbelieved.’ But ‘disbelievers’ and ‘Unbelievers’ which are nouns and ‘disbelieve’ that is a verb in the present tense are no translations of what the Holy Qor-aan described with a verb in the past tense)

Verses 005:011 and 006:008 end with the following five (5) words

  • اِنۡ — In — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; positively; verily)
  • هٰذَاۤ — Haa-zaa — This (= Refers to something right there)
  • اِلَّا — Il-laa — Except (= Apart from; but; besides; excluding; save; unless. A/t/a,  ‘nothing but’ and ‘naught else than’)
  • سِحۡرٌ — She-roon(m) — Magic (= n., Deception; enchantment; evil crafts; falsehood; false impressions; making illusions; modes of intrigue; sorcery; trickery; witchcraft.  Something imaginary and not real or true  A/t/a, ‘enchantment,’ ‘deception’ and ‘a hoax cutting (us off (from the nation)’
  • مُّبِيۡنٌ — Mo-bee-n — Obvious (= Adj., Clearly; evident; manifest; open; palatably.  A/t/a,  ‘palatable,’ ‘a fascinating device,’ ‘plain’ and ‘mere’)
