The Holy Qor-aan 006:013
قُلْ لِّمَنۡ مَّا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ قُلْ لِّلّٰهِؕ كَتَبَ عَلٰى نَفۡسِهِ الرَّحۡمَةَ ؕ لَيَجۡمَعَنَّكُمۡ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ الۡقِيٰمَةِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهِ ؕ اَلَّذِيۡنَ خَسِرُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ
Qool-lay-mun-maa-fis-smaa-waa-tay-wul-ur-dzay Qool-lil-laa-hay-ka-ta-ba-alaa-nuf-say-hir-rah-mah La-yuj-ma-un-na-koom-elaa-yao-mil-qay-yaa-ma-tay-laa-rai-ba-fee-hay Ul-la-zee-na-kha-say-roo-fa-hoom-laa-yoe-may-noon
Say (ask), “For who is all that is in the heavens and the earth.” Say (answer), “For Allah. He took upon Himself to show mercy. He surely will gather you for the day of Judgment. No doubt in it. Those who caused loss to themselves will never believe.”
- قُلۡ — Qool — Say (= v., s, 2nd person. Announce; broadcast; call; command; convey; explain; inform; insist; instruct; maintain; mandate; order; preach; proclaim; profess; propagate; state; teach; tell. See Commentary “‘You say’ means.” A/t/a, ‘Ask them,’ ‘Ask (them)’ and ‘say (O Muhammad s.a.w)’
- لِّ — Lay — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; concerning; regarding; relative to. A/t/a, ‘to whom belongeth,’ ‘Unto … belongeth,’ ‘To … belongs’ and ‘To … does belong’)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Who (= Anyone; whoever; whom; whomever; whoso)
- مَّا — Maa — All that (= What; whatever; whatsoever. A/t/a, ‘all that lies in,’ ‘that which’ and ‘what is’)
- فِى — F… (iss) — In (= About. concerning; reference, regarding, relative to; in the matter of. Also, in a duration, event, time, place, period, thing or situation. See Note 002:028. A/t/a, ‘contain’)
- السَّمٰوٰتِ — Sa-maa-waa-tay — The heavens (= n., pl., All above ground or earth; clouds; firmament; heavens; rain; skies; universe. Also, knowledge of astronomical objects in space)
- وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- الۡاَرۡضِ — Ul-ur-dzay — Earth (= n., s., Area; country; earth; ground; land; territory. Also, life on earth, nation; people or society in general)
- قُلۡ — Qool — Say (= v., s, 2nd person. Answer; announce. See قُلۡ above. A/t/a, ‘Tell them’ and ‘Then (since they will not be able to answer), say’)
- لِّ — Lay … (il) — For (= For the object, person, purpose. See لِّ above. A/t/a, ‘to,’ ‘unto’ and ‘it belongs’)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- كَتَبَ — Ka-ta-ba — He took (= v., past., s. 3rd person. Directed; imposed; mandated; made a rule; prescribed; set up; wrote. A/t/a, ‘inscribed,’ ‘ordained,’ ‘charged,’ ‘hath prescribed,’ ‘has taken’ and ‘has decreed’)
- عَلٰى — Alaa — Upon (= Above; against; before; during; for; from; on; over; to; upon)
- نَفۡسِ — Nuf-say — Self (= n., s., An individual’s inner-most, heart, mind or soul; living being; person. A/t/a, ‘Himself’)
- هِ — Hay … (ir) — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid person)
- الرَّحۡمَةَ — Rah-mah — Mercy (= Beneficence. Clemency. Compassion. Condoning. Forgiveness. Intercession. Intervention. Kindness. Leniency. Omitting, relenting or waiving. A/t/a, ‘with mercy,’ ‘to show mercy,’ ‘(the rule of) mercy’ and ‘the rule of) mercy (so He does not take the sinners to task immediately)’

- لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely , doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily. A/t/a, ‘that’)
- يَجۡمَعَنَّ — Yuj-ma-un-na — Gather together (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Assemble; get together; put in one place; round up. A/t/a, ‘He will gather … together,’ ‘He will gather,’ ‘He may bring … all together,’ ‘He will continue to assemble’ and ‘He will … continue to assemble’)
- كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all men. The Holy Qor-aan addresses men and women jointly this way generally)
- اِلَى — Elaa — To / For (= In the direction of; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘till,’ ‘for’ and ‘on’)
- يَوۡمِ — Yao-m … (il) — Day (= n., s., A period, term or time that ends; juncture)
- الۡقِيٰمَةِ — Qay-yaa-mah — Judgment (= Reckoning; Resurrection; Ultimate settlement. A/t/a, ‘day is sure to come’)
The phrase with the next four words is also in verses 002:003, 004:088 and 006:013
- لَا — Laa — No (= Absolutely not; no; never. A/t/a, ‘There is no’ and ‘of which there is’)
- رَيۡبَۛ — Rai-ba — Doubt (= Inadequacy; element of dispute; lacking; suspicion; something that is incomplete)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Amidst or inside something. See فِى above. A/t/a, ‘in which,’ ‘whereof there is no doubt’ and ‘about which’)
- هِۛ — Hay — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Ref is to the Book, the Direction)
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, or phenomenon or things in masculine gender. A/t/a, ‘Yet those who’)
- خَسِرُوۡۤا — Kha-say-roo — Caused loss (= v., past., s. 3rd person. Caused loss; harmed; hurt. A/t/a, ‘who have lost,’ ‘ruin,’ ‘have ruined,’ ‘have lost,’ lost’ and ‘have forfeited’)
- اَنۡفُسَ — Un-fo-sa — Selves (= n., pl., Hearts; minds. See نَفۡسِ above. A/t/a, ‘souls’ and ‘themselves’)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs. A/t/a, ‘their’)
