The Holy Qor-aan 006:027
○ وَهُمۡ يَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنۡهُ وَيَنۡــَٔوۡنَ عَنۡهُۚ وَاِنۡ يُّهۡلِكُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ
Wa-hoom-yaun-hao-na-un-ho-wa-yaun-aao-na-un-ho-wa-in Yoh-lay-koo-na-il-laa-un-fo-sa-hoom-wa-maa-yaush-o-roo-n
And they stop others from it and themselves stay away from it. And surely They destroy none except themselves and they don’t realize it.

- هُمۡ — Hoom — They (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; them; theirs)
- يَنۡهَوۡنَ — Yaun-hao-na — They stop (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. They stop or prohibit. See Note 003:105. A/t/a, ‘they forbid,’ ‘they forbid (men),’ ‘they forbid others to believe it,’ ‘they forbid others to believe in,’ ’they hinder people’ and ‘deter (others)’)
- عَنۡ — Un — From (= About; concerning; regarding; relative to)
- هُ — Ho — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. It; him. Logically this pronoun refers to something already talked about. But whether the pronoun هُ refers to a thing stated earlier, or a person mentioned previously, has been translated differently. Some authors translated the word as ‘it.’ Some of them construed that ‘The verse constitutes an eloquent commentary on the captivating power of the Quran’ and ‘(believing in) this (Qur’an).’ Some others remarked that the word referred to ‘him (from following Prophet Muhammad s.a.w).’ Yet another translated the word to mean ‘in this Truth.’ Such inconsistencies are examples of Translations with Author’s Whims)

- يَنۡــَٔوۡنَ — Yaun-aao-na — Stay away (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Avoid; keep away; shun; stay away. A/t/a, ‘themselves too they keep away,’ ‘(themselves too) keep away,’ ‘themselves keep away,’ ‘themselves turn away,’ ‘avoid it’ and ‘depart from it’)
- عَنۡ — Un — From (= About; concerning; regarding; relative to. See عَنۡ above)

- اِنۡ — In — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘only’)
- يُّهۡلِكُوۡنَ — Yoh-lay-koo-na — They destroy (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Destroy; kill; ruin. A/t/a, ‘They only destroy,’ ‘only … they destroy,’ ‘they destroy,’ ‘they ruin,’ ”they … ruin,’ ‘thereby they only ruin’ and ‘it is … ruin that they bring about (by such things)’)
