The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                             006:047

Qool-aa-ra-aye-toom-in-aa-kha-zaul-laa-ho                                                                                  Sum-aa-koom-wa-ub-saa-ra-koom                                                                                                  Wa-kha-ta-ma-alaa-qo-loo-bay-koom                                                                                            Mun-elaa-hoon-ghai-rool-laa-hay-yau-tee-koom-bay-he

Oon-zoor-kai-fa-noos-ray-fool-aa-yaa-tay                                                                                    Thoom-ma-hoom-yus-day-foo-n

Say, “Have you seen if Allah took away                                                                              Your hearing and your seeing                                                                                                And put a seal upon your hearts,                                                                                        Who is a god besides Allah who can come to you with it.”

See how we display the signs.                                                                                                   Then it is the very same who turn away.

** Note 006:057. Some authors added the words ‘physically and spiritually’ to all three actions of hearing, seeing and thinking mentioned in this verse. And yet many failed to convey the following important aspect described in the last two words of this verse.

Used is  هُمۡ‌  for the pronoun for 3rd person. Then it is followed by  يَصۡدِفُوۡنَ  for the verb for 3rd person. Such use of words doubly emphasizes the fact that it is the same very people in the 3rd person who invariably turn away. This states another rule of universal application.
