The Holy Qor-aan 006:050
وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ الۡعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَفۡسُقُوۡنَ
Wa-ul-la-zee-na-kuz-za-boo-bay-aa-yaa-tay-naa Ya-mus-so-ho-mool-aa-zaa-bo Bay-maa-kaa-noo-yauf-so-qoo-n
And those who belied Our signs, The punishment reaches them Because they used to misbehave.
- وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet. A/t/a, ‘as far’)
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, or phenomenon or things in masculine gender. A/t/a, ‘those that’)
- كَذَّ بُوۡا — Kuz-za-boo — They belied (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Denied; derided, denounced, disowned, opposed, misrepresented, negated; rejected. Any translation in the present tense is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense such as ‘reject,’ ‘cry lies’ and ‘deny’)
- بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ means with)
- اٰيٰتِ — Aa-ya-tay — Signs (= n., pl of … An argument, corroboration, indication, insinuation, pointer, portent, prof, sign, suggestion, symbol or token. See Note 002:074. A/t/a, ‘Signs,’ ‘messages,’ ‘revelations’ and ‘Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)’
- نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us. Used with God’s name this is the authoritative way a higher-up talks)
- يَمَسُّ — Ya-mus-so — Reaches (= v., pres., s., m., 3rd person. Certain to strike that won’t ever miss. Affects. Afflicts. Arrives. Befalls. Comes or Gets to. Hits. Reaches. Smites. Strikes. Touches. A/t/a, ‘befalls,’ ‘will touch,’ ‘will afflict’ and ‘shall afflict.’ But ‘shall be punished’ is inaccurate translation)
- هُمُ — Ho-mo..(ol) — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
- الۡعَذَابُ — Azaa-bo — The punishment (= n., Appropriate, due and fair agony, chastisement, doom; hard task, penalty, recompense; torment, torture or Scourge)
- بِمَا — Bay-maa — Because (= Combination of two words. بِ means ‘with / in’ and مَاۤ means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever.’ The combination بِمَا (bay-maa) means ‘because of; on account of; for the reason; due to; with / in all that. A/t/a, ‘because of’ and ‘for’)
- كَانُوۡۤا — Kaa-noo — Had been (= v., past., pl., m., 3rd person. Continued doing; used to; went on; were doing. Words has or had always been indicate endless continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. A/t/a, ‘they’)
- يَفۡسُقُوۡنَ — Yauf-so-qoo-n — They misbehave (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Act up or act mischievously. A/t/a, ‘disobey.’ The Holy Qor-aan has used this verb in the present tense and it is inaccurate to translate it as (a) noun as in ‘their misdeeds,’ ‘their disbelief and ‘their disobedience,’ or (b) a verb in the past tense as in ‘they transgressed,’ ‘ceased … from transgressing’ and ‘they disobeyed’)
