قُلْ لَّاۤ اَقُوۡلُ لَـكُمۡ عِنۡدِىۡ خَزَآٮِٕنُ اللّٰهِ وَلَاۤ اَعۡلَمُ الۡغَيۡبَ وَلَاۤ اَقُوۡلُ لَـكُمۡ اِنِّىۡ مَلَكٌ‌ ۚ اِنۡ اَتَّبِعُ اِلَّا مَا يُوۡحٰٓى اِلَىَّ‌ ؕ قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِى الۡاَعۡمٰى وَالۡبَصِيۡرُ‌ ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ

 

Qool-laa-aa-qoo-lo-la-koom                                                                                                                  In-dee-kha-zaa-aiy-nool-laa-hay-wa-laa-au-la-mol-ghai-ba                                                    Wa-laa-aa-qoo-lo-la-koom-in-nee-ma-la-koon                                                                              Aiy-nut-ta-bay-o-il-la-maa-yoo-haa-aiy-luy-ya

Qool-hul-yus-ta-wil-au-maa-waul-ba-see-r                                                                                Aa-fa-laa-ta-ta-fuk-ka-roo-n

 

Say, “I do not say to you that with me                                                                                  Are the treasures of Allah, and I do not know the unseen,                                          And I do not say to you that I am an angel.                                                                        I follow only what is revealed to me.”

Say, “Could the blind and the seer be equal?                                                                    Won’t you think about all this?”

 

  • قُلۡ — Qool — Say (= v., pres., s, 2nd person. Announce; command; convey; explain; inform; insist; instruct; maintain; mandate; order; state; preach; proclaim; profess; teach; tell. See Commentary ‘You say’ means  … A/t/a, ‘Tell them,’ ‘Say (O Muhammad, to the believers)’ and ‘Say O Muhammad s.a.w)’
  • لَّاۤ — Laa — Do not (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception)
  • اَقُوۡلُ — Aa-qoo-lo — I say (= v., pres., s. 1st person. Announce. Claim. See قُلۡ above  A/t/a, ‘say’ and ‘tell’)
  • لَ — La — For / To (= Concerning; due to; for the object, purpose or reason of; intended for; regarding; relative to; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘unto’)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all men. The Holy Qor-aan addresses men and women jointly this way generally)
  • عِنۡدِ — In-de — With (= At or close at hand. In front. Near. A/t/a, possess’)
  • ىَ — Ee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • خَزَآٮِٕنُ — Kha-zaa-aiy-no … (ol) — Treasures (= n., pl. Stored up valuables. A/t/a, ‘treasures’)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet. A/t/a, ‘or’)
  • لَا — Laa — No (= Never; no; none; noy at all. See  لَّاۤ  above. A/t/a, (this and the prior word) ‘nor’)
  • اَعۡلَمُ — Au-la-mo –I know (= v., pres., s. 1st person. Aware; knowledgeable. A/t/a, ‘I … know,’ ‘do I know’ and ‘I have knowledge’)
  • الۡغَيۡبَ — Ghai-ba — The Unseen (= adj., s., Hidden; invisible; secret; a reality hitherto unknown; The unknown. ‘The unseen’)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases  See وَ  above)
  • لَا — Laa — No (= Never; no; none; noy at all. See  لَا  above. A/t/a, ‘do not’)
  • اَقُوۡلُ — Aa-qoo-lo — I say (= v., pres., s. 1st person. Announce. claim  See قُلۡ above. A/t/a, ‘tell’ and ‘I claim to be’)
  • لَ — La — For (= For the benefit or object …. See لَ above. ‘unto’)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all men. See كُمۡ  above)
  • اِنۡ — In — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; positively; verily. A/t/a, ‘that’)
  • ىَ — Ee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • مَلَكٌ — Ma-la-koon — Angel (= n., pl., An immortal being attendant upon God who execute His commands and do no wrong. Also, a kind, loving and lovable person. See Note 006:009)
  • اِنۡ — In — Surely (= Absolutely; certainly; definitely; positively; verily. A/t/a, ‘Indeed’)
  • اَتَّبِعُ — Ut-ta-bay-o — I follow (= v., pres., s. 1st person. Carry out; obey. A/t/a, ‘I … follow’
  • اَلَّا — Il-laa — Only (= Apart from; besides; except; excluding; nothing but; save; unless. A/t/a, ‘only’ and ‘but’)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — What (= All that; what; whatever. A/t/a, ‘that which’)
  • يُوۡحٰٓى — Yoo-haa — Revealed (= v., passive, pl., 3rd person., Come or sent by way of inspiration; commanded; directed; disclosed; inspired; instructed; revealed. Is revealed)
  • اِلَى — Elaa … (y) — To (= In the direction of; to [njd]; towards. A/t/a, ‘in’)
  • ىَّ‌ — Ya — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • قُلۡ — Qool — Say (= v., pres., s, 2nd person. Announce; convey . See قُلۡ above. A/t/a, ‘Ask them, however’)
  • هَلۡ — Hull — Could (= Word asking a question like are, can, could, do, did, have, had, is, shell, should, what, will, would, etc. A/t/a, ‘are’ and ‘can’)
  • يَسۡتَوِى — Yus-ta-vee — Be equal (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Become equal or same; equate. A/t/a, ‘equal,’ ‘are … alike’ and ‘be alike.’ But ‘held equal’ in the past tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the present tense)
  • الۡاَعۡمٰى — Al-au-maa — The blind (= n., One who cannot see. A/t/a, ‘a blind man,’ ‘a blind person’ and ‘blind’)
  • وَ — Wa .. (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • الۡبَصِيۡرُ‌ — Al-ba-see-r — The seer (= n., One who can see. A/t/a, ‘the seeing,’ ‘seeing man,’ ‘one who sees’ and ‘one gifted with sight’)
  • اَ — Aa — Will (= Word asking a question, like can, could, do, did, had, have, is, shall, should, what, will, would, etc?
  • فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
  • لَا — Laa — Not (= Never; no; none; noy at all. See  لَا  above)
  • تَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ — Ta-ta-fuk-ka-roo-n — You ponder (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Consider; give some thought; ponder; reflect; take into consideration; think. A/t/a, ‘ye … take thought,’ ‘even … give thought,’ ‘will you not then reflect,’ ‘will you not then take thought’ and ‘can you not think’)
